This summer, we have been thinking about the source of Christian joy. True joy is found in God alone, through the work of Christ, and shared together as his people: the church.

Our study in Habakkuk reminded us that we can know this joy even when the world around us feels dark and uncertain. When difficulties inevitably come our way, we can hold on to joy as we live by faith and trust in the character and faithfulness of God.

In September, we will begin a study in Philippians, where we’ll continue to explore what Christian joy looks like in practice, and how this joy shapes the way we live as followers of Christ.

Thank you to everyone who called at the manse this afternoon. It was lovely to enjoy some food and good conversation together. Until the next time..!

All primary school age children are invited to come along to our Holiday Bible Club
27th-29th July 7-8.30pm in Second Castlederg Presbyterian Church.
It promises to be an action packed programme with Bible stories, songs, crafts, quizzes, games and memory verses.
Registration forms to be completed on the first night.
