Hello all, final takeover today. Thank you so much to the SOON project for hosting us these past few days. I thought I would use today to talk about our current collection called ‘Homebody’.
Homebody - A collection of clothes to wear even when your at home. As we spend more time creating spaces of comfort, warmth and hopefully safety we need our wardrobe to reflect that. For me getting dressed has always been an integral part to my identity even if the only person who would experience it was me. This past year I continued to get dressed for myself and it has always been one of the greatest joys in this difficult time.
‘Homebody’ was made with ideas of glamour and comfort combined into one, using natural fibres each set breathes with you and allows for you to do whatever you need in your home. These are clothes for sitting to watch a film, for dancing on your bed, curled up reading a book and hopefully one day to be worn during warm days on the beach or evenings with friends.
Homebody is currently available to purchase on a made-to-order basis. Our shop re-opens TODAY at 6pm GMT to take orders so head to for more info.

Good morning! 🌞 For day two of our takeover I thought I would discuss the garments we produce and our brands ethos.
Tapuh’s aim is to be a slow fashion brand that produces high quality, thoughtful clothing with consideration to the textile waste we produce. We currently operate on both a ready-made and made-to-order basis however hope to shift into mainly made-to-order.
We currently make sets which are comprised of our Cloud 9 top and Rebecca Trousers, we like to call this combo the ‘Sister Set’ as both items are named after myself and my sister!
Fabric to us is our no.1 priority with designing our collections, placing new textures and fabric types onto our existing silhouettes. We currently work with UK fabric suppliers who responsibly source fabrics from around the world.
We aim to be a very minimal waste brand and after making our sets we use our moderately sized fabric scraps to make our accessories, including our Pebble Knot Bag and matching masks! We are currently developing an idea to release mending kits as well which will feature our smaller scraps that we cannot use for our products.

Hello! I am so excited to be taking over this weekend so thought I would first introduce myself.
My name is and I am the mother, designer & fabric maverick behind . Tapuh clothing is my sweet love letter to my family and friends, my love for clothes as an expression of freedom and well mostly to my love for fabrics. I studied Textile Design and graduated with a specialism in knit all the while learning about patterns and sewing in my spare time. I launched Tapuh in October 2020 as a way to share my passion for clothing and fabric.
I have never felt such freedom as making my own wardrobe and whilst it is not 100% me made there’s a big portion that is! During lockdown the two things that kept me happy were getting dressed in the morning and sewing a garment to wear for the next day. I believe clothes are much more than to keep you warm or cool or covered they are an incredible expression of oneself and for me are my daily saviour.
I look to Tapuh to continue this feeling to others to the best of my ability. I want everyone to feel empowered in their clothes whilst still feeling comfortable and flexible to do whatever they wish that day. For all bodies, all shapes, all sizes let’s wake up and feel ourselves 🌸

Do You know these moments of feeling yourself alive? Suddenly connected to your pain, to your joy, or to them both at the same time? It is this longing, this vivid trembling inside. Something is happening to you, which you might not name or even understand, but you feel it, deeply, with all your being. These are the moments of the essence showing itself.
This is what my work is about. A search for the essence behind the form.
I am AINO. I am an artist.
In the next few days, I invite you to create a beautiful flow together. To share the moments that connect You to Your very essence.
So what is it for You?

More from ‘She may not remember you’, my ongoing body of work about dementia.
In late 2018 I connected with another couple through another Dementia support group. Bob cares for his wife Valerie, who has advanced vascular dementia and is also blind due to an earlier accident, at home. Once again, the love, strength and resilience Bob shows is incredible.
“One day in the early stages, after some aberration or other, she paused and looked at me sadly and said "I'm just a silly old woman, aren't I?" Quite a heartbreaking moment because by then I knew what was going on.”
The final image is from a disposable I gave Bob to photograph their life together.
Thank you for following my takeover 🤍

More from ‘She may not remember you’, my ongoing body of work about Dementia and it’s effects.
As well as spending time with couples whose lives have been turned upside down by the disease, I also spent some time in a care home. I met relatives on visits and saw how hard this is, in very different ways to what I see with Malcolm and Alma.

‘She may not remember you’ is an ongoing body of work about Dementia and it’s effects.
I first met Malcolm and Alma in January 2018 through a Dementia cafe in Bristol. Malcolm cares for Alma at home. In the years I have known them, I have seen her gradual, and sometimes alarming, decline. Still, there are flashes of herself before the dementia took hold: she winks at me if Malcolm makes a joke and she still pokes her tongue out and tuts if he makes a joke at her expense.
Every visit I remember how incredibly strong, resilient and loving Malcolm is with Alma. I treasure the friendship we have together, which goes far beyond just making this work together. It’s hard to put the role we play in each others lives into words 🤍

"I think there’s something really special about how TANAKA allows me to keep exploring the ways in which plant-based, natural ingredients have the ability to benefit and improve not just skin health, but also support our overall well-being. Beyond that, there’s something incredibly liberating about being a small and independent business, because you’re able to have complete creative control. While that can be paralysing and scary at times, at the end of the day I know that I can be proud of and stand behind everything I put into TANAKA."⠀

takeover: 🤍
I’m going to start by showing you some of the pots I made a few years ago. I’ve been reminiscing these vessels as I’ve started a new series of ceramic work at my artist residency. It’s so wonderful having access to a kiln and workshop again. I can’t wait to see how they turn out once they’ve been fired. 🏺🤍
