Suburban Disco

Sequins theme for the next disco was inspired by this luscious collection of shiny loveliness.

Lovely to see lots of new faces at Saturday’s disco. It wasn’t as packed as it normally is, but the quality outshone the quantity. Big thanks to Duology for their set of great dance tunes, with a different selection of tunes each time they are like a human jukebox. Thanks to Gaynor, Eve and Elaine and anyone else who helped tidy up at the end. Thanks also to Lloyd and Ross for working the bar, and thanks as ever to Chris for her sterling work on the door. We are doing it all again on June 27th, so a bit of a break, and we will be doing it with a theme, which is ‘Sequins’, so get sewing.

I feel a ‘Sequins’ theme coming on for the June Disco.

Still about 30 tickets left for the disco next weekend. It should be fun.

A couple of people have asked why we are having discos in the middle of the month. In April and May the last two Saturdays in each month the Church and the hall were booked for all day weddings. And they were booked back in early 2025. So we had no choice but to choose dates earlier in the month, which probably suits some people, but not everyone. Apologies to those who have mid-month events that clash, but we are back to the end of the month with our June event and all there after.
