100 Miles. 29 Hours. 1 Outstanding Achievement. 🏃‍♀️🏆

We are incredibly proud to recognise Pte Tanner of 223 Squadron, who has successfully completed the 2026 Pembrokeshire Coastal Race—one of the most demanding endurance challenges in the UK.

Spanning over 100 miles of relentless coastal terrain, the race pushes competitors to their absolute limits. From steep cliff paths and uneven ground to unpredictable weather and sustained physical fatigue, it is not just a test of endurance, but of resilience, determination, and mental strength.

Pte Tanner didn’t just rise to the occasion—she delivered an exceptional performance:

🥇 1st Place Female Runner
🏅 7th Place Overall

Completing this gruelling event in just 29 hours is an extraordinary accomplishment in itself, but to do so while achieving a podium finish highlights a level of dedication and toughness that truly embodies the very best of our Regiment.

A huge congratulations on an outstanding performance⛰️💪

Recently, members of the Regiment from across Wales met up for the annual Regimental shooting competition, a major part of the CO Sword Competition 🗡️

All five squadrons were on top form, putting their skills and training on full display throughout the day! But one squadron outshone the rest to grab the trophy and rack up points towards winning the CO Sword at the end of the year!

So please join us in congratulating this year’s shooting competition winners: 398 Squadron 👏

Today, we are in the heart of the capital! Soldiers from 580 Squadron in Cardiff officially received and wore our new Welsh Dragon TRF for the first time 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The flash was presented to the Squadron by —Cardiff City’s dynamic No. 10 and a rising star of Welsh football. As a local talent who represents the city on the national stage, Rubins involvement was a fantastic moment of synergy between the “Bluebirds,” the community, and the Regiment 🤝

For our soldiers, this was a standout moment. Wearing the Welsh Dragon isn’t just about uniform—it’s a visible symbol of our heritage, our city, and the standard we hold ourselves to, whether on the pitch or on duty 💪

It’s day 3! And today soldiers of 224 Squadron took the Regiment’s new Welsh Dragon Tactical Recognition Flash across West Wales, proudly unveiling and wearing it at iconic locations including Dobby’s Grave from J.K. Rowlings ‘Harry Potter’ and the beautiful Pembroke Castle 🏰

It was a privilege for the squadron to receive their new TRF from Gareth Jones, the 646th Mayor of Pembroke (2025–26), in a moment that highlighted the strong connection between our Army Reserve soldiers and the communities of West Wales 🤝

This is far more than a new badge. It is a symbol of identity, belonging, and Welsh pride — representing the communities our soldiers come from and the nation they serve🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Our soldiers balance civilian careers with military service, training on evenings and weekends while building confidence, leadership, and lifelong friendships.

If you’re looking for purpose, challenge, and a sense of belonging, join us — and wear the Dragon with pride💪
