Hammer & Tongs Café at Selco

Good evening, I just wanted to share some good news with you. The cafe will re-open on Tuesday 14th April.
Sarah is going to take over the running of the cafe. I’m sure she will do a great job looking after all our regular customers and welcome new. We wish her All the very best in her new roll of “The Boss”.
She promises to keep giving you all a bit of stick but not too much swearing, I’m not so sure🤔🤥😂 When things get better for Paul & myself we may join you all for a catch up.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that we will be closing our business permanently.

This has been an incredibly difficult decision for us to make, but due to Paul’s ill health, it is one that has become necessary.

We want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your loyalty, kindness, and support over the years. You have been more than just customers—you have been friends, and we will truly miss seeing you.

We will always be grateful for the memories we’ve shared and the community we’ve built together.

Good Morning All,
I’m so sorry but the cafe will remain closed for the time being.
As you may be aware Paul is very unwell,
and my mums funeral is this week.
We have had so many messages of support and love. We have read every one and are so grateful for your support.
I would also like to shout out to two people in particular.
❤️❤️Gareth Jones & Martin Ellis who came to my house and spent the whole day chopping down a tree that was causing a problem at the top of my driveway. I rang Gareth to see if he could recommend anyone. “I’ll sort it” he said.
These guys didn’t want anything in return, a bacon butty and a cuppa was accepted. It meant the world to us.

My priority for now has to be my husband Paul and my family. We hate to let our loyal, regulars down but I’m sure you understand. Thank you for all the lovely messages of support.
