After many long nights, endless cups of coffee, and a truly heroic amount of staring at a screen… The long-awaited page has finally seen the light of day.
A brand-new page dedicated to wedding photography in Cardiff is now live on my website.
It took a fair bit of thinking, rewriting, redesigning, and the occasional moment of “maybe one more tiny adjustment”… but the result is finally ready.
If you're planning a wedding in Cardiff and are currently looking for a Cardiff wedding photographer, you can now explore the page and see how I approach photographing wedding days in a natural, documentary way:

Some weddings end with a slow dance.
This one ended with a splash. 💦
Tom and Roxi wrapped up their wedding day by jumping into the pool — still in their dress and suit, still beaming. No script. Just pure, unfiltered joy.
📸 Curious how the day looked from beginning to end?

FAWLTY WEDDING? YES, PLEASE.
Did Fawlty Towers (well, the real-life Gleneagles Hotel in Torquay) shut down because too many couples wanted Basil as their wedding planner?
Absolutely. Almost. Okay—not really.
But that’s the version I’m going with on the blog 😇
📸 Candid chaos, British awkwardness, and not a single Waldorf salad in sight.
(Yes, there's even a photo of the actual hotel. Legally borrowed from Commons, not from Manuel.)
💥 Fancy a wedding where the moose in reception isn’t the weirdest part?

🌿✨ Candid Couple Photoshoot in Nature: Honest, Romantic, Real ✨🌿
Some moments just can’t be staged.
No posing, no pressure — just two people, the sun peeking through the trees, and the magic of being.
This is what I love most about candid couple sessions. It’s not about perfection, it’s about connection — those quiet smiles, spontaneous laughs, and the way they hold hands when they think no one’s watching.
Want to see what that looks like? 📸

Not all wedding photos age well.
Trendy filters come and go – but some moments deserve more than a preset.
Black and white wedding photography strips everything back. No distractions. Just truth, light and emotion. 🖤
Here’s why I still deliver black and white images in every gallery – even though I shoot in colour:

I started with film. Now I shoot digital. But I still photograph weddings as if I had only 36 frames.
No high-speed shutter, no click frenzy. Just quiet observation and intent.
Most of the couples I work with today weren’t even born when I picked up my first camera. And that’s actually perfect. Because by the time their wedding comes around, I’ve had three decades to practice. You should probably book your wedding photographer at least 30 years in advance. 😉
It’s not about gear. It’s about how we see.
And how we remember.
🎞️ Here’s what I’ve learned from shooting both film and digital – and why the mindset matters more than the megapixels:

What if your perfect wedding didn’t need a venue at all?
No rigid packages, no function rooms, no “minimum guest count.”
Just you, your love, a handful of humans (or none at all), and a place that feels right.
A wedding without a wedding venue isn’t a compromise. It’s freedom.

World #1486.
UK #46.
Cardiff....
AI says I might be the best wedding photographer in the city.
Rankings suggest otherwise.
But I do show up. I listen. I don’t stage cake cutting. I don’t rearrange shoes. I don’t rehearse moments.
I photograph the real stuff.
Somewhere between the dance floor and the fire exit — camera in hand — probably humming Nick Cave or Massive Attack. Definitely not Sheeran. (No offence, but I’m not built for that level of sugar.)
And if you're still wondering what “best” really means…

RGB Weddings – and Why White Isn’t Even a Colour
Red for the wild-hearted (and fans of Game of Thrones 😉).
Green for the ones who breathe with the trees.
Blue for the ones who promise quietly, just before the light fades.
Some weddings don’t follow a palette. They make their own.
📖 I wrote a piece about colour, meaning, and why tradition is just one option. And why my camera doesn’t care about trends – but never misses a story.

📸 Two Cameras and a Funeral — Because Sometimes Even the Shutter Dies
When you shoot weddings (or... funerals), you get used to being ready for anything.
But even I didn’t expect the poetic twist that happened during one job — when my shutter gave up right at the most symbolic moment. 😅
Good thing I always carry two cameras.
One went silent, the other kept the story alive. No panic. No drama. Just quiet clicks and quiet respect.
Curious why photographers actually carry two cameras?
(Hint: It’s not just because it looks cool... though it does.)
