🥾 WALK WITH US ALONG OFFA'S D**E! 🥾

Join us on Tuesday 4th August as the Prostate Cymru Walk of Wales takes on one of Britain’s most iconic National Trails!

We will be trekking 14.9 miles from Kington to Hay-on-Wye, treating you to some of the most breathtaking landscapes Wales has to offer.

Here’s what we have planned:
1️⃣ The Route: Starting at Kington Bowling Club, we’ll head up over the spectacular Hergest Ridge along the historic Offa’s D**e Path. Push for the summit to enjoy sweeping, panoramic views of the stunning Black Mountains.
2️⃣ The Pitstops: We’ll pause to refuel and grab some refreshments at the charming Royal Oak Inn and St Mary’s Church along the way.
3️⃣ The Finish Line: We’ll wrap up our epic walk in the famous 'book town' of Hay-on-Wye, celebrating at The Granary Cafe.

“Two days before Christmas, I was told I had prostate cancer. I was knocked for six.”

Radio Cardiff presenter Kervin Julien wasn't a "doctor chaser." He felt fine, but after a persistent bladder symptom took him to the GP, a PSA blood test revealed advanced prostate cancer.

His surgery happened just in the nick of time - right as the cancer was about to escape into his nerves and bones.

Now back on the air and volunteering at the Butetown food pantry, Kervin is asking why the system relies on men to self-diagnose. Black men face a 1 in 4 risk of prostate cancer, yet there is still no routine screening.
