【 The duo behind Volos 】

For those new here, and those who’ve been with us since the beginning, here’s the team that started it all.

Liam and Ollie built Volos from the ground up, taking the risks, backing themselves, and laying the foundations on which the business is built today. From day one, they’ve been at the heart of everything.

As the business has grown, so has the team around them, but if you’ve worked with Volos, chances are you’ve dealt directly with Liam or Ollie along the way.

Liam, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, and Ollie, a Principal Engineer, bring the technical expertise that underpins every project, combined with a hands-on approach that’s been there since the very start.

They continue to lead from the front, staying close to the work, the clients, and the standards that define Volos, always guided by their core values: Humble, Hungry and People Smart. 💙🤍

【 Volos Quantity Surveying team - Integrated Commercial & Contract Support 】

We provide proactive commercial management throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring costs, risks, and contractual obligations are effectively controlled from inception through to completion on site.

Our team support the NEC Project Manager in administering the contract by managing the compensation event process, assessing impact on time and cost, and ensuring timely implementation to ensure our Client is informed early.

Regular, clear cost reporting provide our Clients with full visibility of the financial position of the project, with early identification of risks and opportunities to support informed decision-making. By working closely with all stakeholders, we ensure collaborative delivery, minimise disputes, and maintain commercial control at every stage, giving you confidence that your project is being managed efficiently, transparently, and in your best interests.

【 Project Update: Haverfordwest Public Transport Interchange 】

Kier Group continues to make great progress on the Haverfordwest PublicTransport Interchange project. Hefyn visited site yesterday to undertake the monthly valuation on behalf of the client, Pembrokeshire Council.

The main car park signage is nearly complete, alongside ongoing works to paving, cladding, and soft landscaping, bringing the project together.

【 Newport Bollard Installation - Project Update 】

It's been over a year from the initial appointment, and great progress continues across Newport.

Working in partnership with ATG Access and Kordel Construction, we are now delivering the fifth site within the current phase for Newport City Council.

Kordel is carrying out the installation of ATG’s bollards to an excellent standard, with strong collaboration across the team keeping delivery on track.

Volos is supporting the scheme through design support, quantity surveying, and project management, contributing to effective cost control and programme certainty throughout.

【 Volos – Fleming Crescent 】

Great to be supporting Pembrokeshire County Council on the Fleming Crescent scheme alongside W.B. GRIFFITHS & SON LIMITED, Lawray Architects, Glyndwr Consulting Limited, and the wider project team.

The project includes removal of the existing roof system, asbestos removal, chimney removal, structural review, and installation of a new roofing system with integrated PV panels.

Hefyn is acting as NEC4 Project Manager on behalf of Volos for the client Pembrokeshire County Council.

Great to see the scheme progressing well with the team.
