A huge thank you to all of our colleagues and learners who supported our cake sale this week. Whether you baked, bought or donated you helped us raise an incredible £1000 for Thymic UK - a support and advocacy group helping patients and their families through cancers of the thymus gland.

Thymic cancers are very rare and for those receiving a diagnosis, it is a very scary and isolating time, particularly because not many people know much about the disease. With May being Thymic Malignancy Awareness Month we hope our bake sale has brought some awareness of the illness and the incredible work ThymicUK is doing.

Learners in Pontypool had the opportunity to try out the dry ski slopes at Pontypool Leisure Centre.

They had a fantastic time taking part in something completely new for many of them, building confidence, trying new skills, and supporting each other throughout the session. It was a brilliant day out and a great introduction to a new experience.

Cafodd dysgwyr ym Mhont-y-pŵl gyfle i roi cynnig ar y llethrau sgïo sych yng Nghanolfan Hamdden Pont-y-pŵl.

Cawsant ddiwrnod i’r brenin yn cymryd rhan mewn rhywbeth hollol newydd i lawer ohonynt, adeiladu hyder, rhoi cynnig ar sgiliau newydd, a chefnogi ei gilydd trwy gydol y sesiwn. Roedd yn ddiwrnod da ac yn gyflwyniad gwych i brofiad newydd.

Over the past few weeks, learners in Cardiff have been working together to create a flowering outdoor space.

Childcare learners have been nurturing seeds, while Schools learners spent time planting the young sprouts.

It’s been a great opportunity to build a shared space that encourages mindfulness, connection, and time spent socialising with friends in a calm outdoor environment.

Dros yr wythnosau diwethaf, mae dysgwyr yng Nghaerdydd wedi bod yn gweithio gyda'i gilydd i greu ardal awyr agored blodeuog.

Mae dysgwyr gofal plant wedi bod yn meithrin hadau, tra bod dysgwyr Ysgolion wedi treulio amser yn plannu'r planhigion ifanc.

Mae wedi bod yn gyfle gwych i adeiladu lle i bawb sy'n annog ymwybyddiaeth ofalgar, cysylltiad, a threulio amser yn cymdeithasu gyda ffrindiau mewn amgylchedd awyr agored tawel.

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Show 2026 The Mental Health and Wellbeing Show 2026 will be taking place at Cardiff City Stadium on May 15th.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who baked, ate and donated at our recent bake sale in support of the Marie Curie - Wales Hospice in Penarth.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise over £700 for this incredible charity.

Every donation will help Marie Curie continue providing vital care and support to people living with terminal illness and their families.

Learners from Ebbw Vale took a trip to Cardiff to visit BBC Cymru Wales 🎥

From stepping inside one of the UK’s largest newsrooms to seeing TV galleries in action, they got a real behind-the-scenes look at how it all comes together.

Safe to say, it was an eye-opening day.
