We’re hiring!

We’re looking for a Health & Social Care Assessor to join our team, supporting learners across Powys through workplace visits, online learning and training sessions.

You’ll help learners build their skills, confidence and professional knowledge while working closely with employers throughout their apprenticeship journey.

If you have Health & Social Care experience, a minimum Level 3 qualification and a passion for helping others develop, we’d love to hear from you.

It’s been around a month since we welcomed our new ALS colleagues into the ACT family!

Today, our new team members had the opportunity to meet key members of the wider ACT team at a marketplace-style event, giving them the chance to learn more about the support, services and opportunities available across the organisation.

It was also a chance to celebrate 26 years of ALS and look ahead to the exciting future as ALS continues its journey as part of the ACT.

Mae tua mis ers i ni groesawu ein cydweithwyr newydd o ALS i deulu ACT!

Heddiw, cafodd aelodau ein tîm newydd gyfle i gwrdd ag aelodau allweddol o dîm ehangach ACT mewn digwyddiad ar ffurf marchnad, gan roi cyfle iddynt ddysgu mwy am y gefnogaeth, y gwasanaethau a'r cyfleoedd sydd ar gael ar draws y sefydliad.

Roedd hefyd yn gyfle i ddathlu 26 mlynedd ers sefydlu ALS ac edrych ymlaen at ddyfodol cyffrous wrth i ALS barhau â'i daith fel rhan o'r ACT.

Learning outside the classroom!

Hadfield learners spent the day at Cynon Valley Organic Adventures, making the most of Janis’s knowledge and experience of sustainable growing. From eating grapes straight from the vine to picking blackcurrants to making their own jam and feeding the resident micro-pigs apples picked from the trees, learners had plenty of opportunities to get hands-on and discover more about sustainable growing.

This morning we welcomed Niamh Salkeld MS to our Ebbw Vale centre.

It was a fantastic opportunity to share how our Jobs Growth Wales+ provision is positively impacting the young people of Blaenau Gwent.

It was also a chance to showcase some of our lessons, including essential skills tutoring, a session on Welsh culture, and a talk from Alun Griffiths Constructions about careers in construction.
