Hoddle has been under treatment for some reproductive disease recently, we suspect some inflammation in her oviduct and some egg yolk coelomitis. She’s been on some medications and is doing much better and today, she had a contraceptive implant placed to try to reduce further issues in the short term.

We were gifted this by one of clients today, after their bearded dragon crossed the rainbow bridge. It’s made of individual little gems and must have taken ages to make!!!

How beautiful is Cosmo! He travelled all the way from Wiltshire today to see our avian specialist for his 6 monthly checkup and beak/nail trimming 🦜

Moxxi came in to see us today for a health check - which she has passed with flying colours. We see birds, reptiles and small mammals of all kinds regularly and we recommend a health check for all exotic pets!

Thistle the African hedgehog was in today for some dental treatment! She’s got some quite severe gingivitis, which we are treating medically. She’s had a descale of all her teeth today. Hopefully we can calm things down. Pictured here in a recovery kennel after the procedure, one of our nurses is tempting her with some Emeraid Carnivore - which she was taking well 🙂

Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a swift recovery! We love seeing Pygmy hedgehogs here !
