6m burner and boiler inspection today at the prestigious Celtic Manor main resort hotel, all 3 1000kw boilers now in great order and ready for efficient reliable action!

New boilers to the beautiful St Gwladys church in Bargoed, already had complaints of it being too warm at a funeral, Paul and Harvey on top form again. Congratulations to Harvey Powell for qualifying as a professional gas engineer, now the learning starts buddy! 👏👏👏👏👏

Full strip down service to a Rinnai high power water heater, a new unit to us this year, having taken over the maintenance for 2026. Found very dirty with a reoccurring fault 10, obstruction to the passage of flue products….found fan impeller blocked and much debris to the heat exchanger. All done for another hard year of use in this busy care home.
Nearly ran out of tools doing this one! 🤣🤣🤣🤣😇

So far this week I’ve spent nearly all of my time up in the air, on a cherry picker doing annual maintenance to numerous radiant tube heaters at 2 different factories, looks like I’ll be up here till Friday. gordon . Like threading a 5m long needle! 🤣🤣

Annual maintenance this week, to a large local factory, Nor Ray Vac system with 38 burners, plus other wall mounted boilers and water heaters. Cherry picker and scissor lift access etc. Christmas is definitely a distant memory now, Ben Evans on banksman duties. 👌
Back in a couple of weeks to replace a few sundry items such as probes etc.

A massive task for us this week, 3 old Andrews heaters, a buffer unit and a flue dilution system out and 6 Rinnai units and a buffer back in, and hot water back on in 4.5 days with the pressure of a sold out hotel riding on us. Stressful week, all the lads knocked it out of the park yet again.
Awaiting the delivery of the second buffer, paint the floor etc to fully complete the job, but the pressure is off.

Back to the grind this week, hi level radiant tube heater annual maintenance at a local factory.

A refurb in Bristol, for one of our long time customers daughter in her first home, lads on fire as always. New heating system, re wire, new bathrooms, utility and kitchen, knocked walls out, lintels and steels fitted, plastered and tiled etc. They’re over the moon, as are we all.

Replacement of 50m of rotten mild steel gas pipework with stainless press, purge, tightness test and completion.

The lads on a refurb over in Bristol, steel beams in, old kitchen out, first fix ready for the new kitchen, bathroom and en-suite to follow
