Yesterday was filled with wonderful moments, laughter, and creativity as our residents enjoyed both our Cooking Club and Gardening Club activities. 🌸🍰

In our cooking session, residents created a true Turkish delight — delicious homemade baklava! The aroma of warm pastry, honey, and nuts filled the home, bringing back lovely memories and sparking conversations about favourite family recipes and traditions. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part, from carefully layering the pastry to, of course, tasting the finished treat! 🇹🇷✨

Out in the sunshine, our Gardening Club got busy planting beautiful bedding plants and tending to our gardens. Residents took great pride in helping brighten our outdoor spaces, enjoying the fresh air, teamwork, and therapeutic benefits that gardening brings. 🌼🌿

What a fantastic day we had yesterday getting everyone moving here at Ty Coch! Our residents took part in a variety of seated exercises, focusing on gentle stretches, coordination, and strength—proving that movement can be both fun and beneficial at any age.

From arm stretches and guided movements to a lively sensory session with music and lights, there were plenty of smiles, laughter, and great engagement all round. It was wonderful to see everyone joining in at their own pace and supporting one another.

Keeping active is so important for both physical health and emotional wellbeing, and days like this really highlight the joy it can bring 💛

A big thank you to our amazing team for leading such a positive and inclusive session—we’re already looking forward to next week!

This morning, our chef Emad led a delightful cookery class, sharing the secret to the perfect sponge! Then, this afternoon, we were treated to lots of singing, laughter, and old tunes with a fabulous singer. It’s been a day full of joy and great memories!

At Ty Coch, we had a fantastic Move It Monday yesterday! In our Harlech Lounge, residents got active with cheerful exercises set to music. Later, the sunshine called us outside for games and our beloved gardening club. It was a day full of movement, laughter, and enjoying the beauty of our garden!

This week, we’ve had a fantastic time with a variety of activities! From puzzles, Move It Monday, gardening club, to music therapy, ball games , quizzes, Songs of Praise, and arts and crafts, it’s been a joy to see our residents truly engaged and smiling throughout!

Today, we were delighted to welcome a beautiful Easter church service for our residents, team, and visitors.

The service was filled with warmth, reflection, and togetherness, bringing comfort and joy to everyone who attended. It was truly special to see our residents engaging, singing along, and sharing such meaningful moments during this important time of year.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped organise and deliver the service—it made a real difference to our community.

What a fantastic day we’ve had! Our residents and team came together for a lively game of chair tennis — and it’s safe to say the competition was fierce! 😄

There were plenty of laughs, smiles all around, and some seriously impressive skills on display from both residents and team. It’s moments like these that truly bring everyone together and create such a positive, joyful atmosphere within our home.
