Once more a tea from the Kosabei Estate this one is a sencha green tea .
Certain plots on the Kosabei estate share a similar Ph level to traditional Sencha plots in Shizuoka, Japan. Bushes selected to grow in these areas flourish and by applying the Japanese process of steaming the leaf before production, the resultant tea is bright with notes of moss and honey. A truly refreshing, smooth green tea that can be enjoyed any time of day. On sale at www.harrisonteas.co.uk.
I am attending both Roath and Riverside markets this weekend

Todays teas are winter warmers.
Chai Teas are extremely popular and have been enjoyed in South Asia for a long time. Whilst the word 'chai' is a name given to tea in Hindi, Western culture recognises the word 'chai' to be tea blended with spices. Many Chai Tea recipes have been passed from generation to generation so there is no fixed recipe, or preparation method, but most involve using a good strong base tea, spices such as cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, pepper and cloves with milk and sweetener.

In my collection of Chai Teas, I have a traditional Masala Chai, Tea a blend using a good strong black tea base and traditional spices along with a more exotic Chai Tea in Jasmine Chai which adds floral notes of Jasmine, Rose, Lavender and warming nutmeg spice to the traditional chai tea blend.

To learn more you can buy online at www.harrisonteas.co.uk

Todays Tea of the day

Gunpowder Green Tea

Refreshing cool mint flavor in green tea. This is one of the oldest combinations in the world of tea. The intense flavor of the herb infuses sweet minty notes that blend beautifully with the tea's mellow and slightly smoky profile. The particular tea we've used for this blend is Pekoe Gunpowder from Sri Lanka.

Luxury Ingredients: Green Tea and Natural Flavors

As you head into New Year celebrations, 🎉 we recommend steeping peppermint teas. Not only will they offer a boost before a night of revelry, but they can help reset the senses as you begin 2024.
Several potential benefits line up with the spirit of the season:

Invigorating: Peppermint stimulates and provides a sense of rejuvenation. This can be beneficial for people looking to increase alertness and boost energy, as well as after NYE, when we may feel tired or sluggish.

Digestive Support: The soothing properties of peppermint can help relax the digestive system, which can be particularly helpful during the festive season when we indulge in richer foods and drinks.

Mindfulness: The aromatic compounds in peppermint are known to have a calming effect on the mind and body. This is valuable for those seeking relaxation who want to reflect on the past and start the new year with a fresh start.
FUN FACT: The best peppermint comes from the Northwestern USA. The pure, moist mountain air of the spring and early summer growing season gives this peppermint some of the highest volatile oil counts of any member of the mint family.
