🇲🇽 ¡SON NACAXTLE! 🇲🇽

We met these boys in the summer of 23 and after hearing their music we had to get them in for a session! They have collaborated with Welsh born artist Fin Hunt-Humphries slapping de bass to accompany them with groove for their song “El Siquisiri”.

From the heart of Mexico we bring you Son Nacaxtle! An acoustic trio formed by two brothers Rafael, Nestor and soul brother Angel. Playing traditional authentic Mexican music full of textured rhythms and voices that call from the top of the hills to get you feeling like you’ve travelled across the globe!
The son jarocho is from the East Coast in Veracruz & the name Son Nacaxtle means the
“wood that sings” in Nahuatl, the ancient language of Mexico.
They have built their own traditional stringed instruments from one piece of wood!
And have been studying how to create and play them in Veracruz, “la lauderia”.

So we have some exciting news that we’ve been hiding under the wraps for you! Foxy Roxies and Bloc Sessions have got married and made our very own baby! We bring you FOXY BLOC! We are collaborating together to make a super team to produce live sessions of exquisite talent in and around Cardiff! This project is all about collaboration and bringing musicians together to create something unique with other artists that they may have never worked with otherwise…
