Brawd – You Are Not Alone 15/05/2026

As it’s Mental Health Awareness Week, we want to highlight men’s mental health in particular.

Did you know that men are significantly less likely to survive mental health crises? Many struggle in silence and are less likely to seek support , which is why conversations and safe spaces matter so much.

Brawd is one organisation making a real difference. They organise groups and activities primarily for men, creating opportunities to connect, talk, and support wellbeing together.

They offer walk-in sessions in and around Cardiff. For more information, please visit:
www.brawd.org.uk

Remember — reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness. 💙

Brawd – You Are Not Alone We are Brawd. A compassionate group of people with one common interest. To help and support men’s wellbeing through positive engagement.

Mental Health Awareness Week

This video clip reminds us of something important , we don’t always see the battles people are fighting.

The loudest laugh, the biggest smile, the person who seems “fine”… may be carrying more than we realise.

Too many men (and ladies) struggle in silence because they feel they have to stay strong, keep going, or not burden others.

It’s okay to not be okay.

Check in with your mates. Send the message. Make the call. Sit beside someone and really listen.

One conversation can change ... or even save a life.

If you’re struggling, please reach out. You don’t have to face things alone. Talking is strength, not weakness. 💙

It's Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Remember, it's okay not to be okay.

If you're struggling, please don't face it alone. Reach out to a friend, neighbour, family member, or contact one of the support organisations available to you.

People care, and help is there when you need it. These services would always rather you reach out than suffer in silence.

You matter. You are not alone. 💚

Today is the start of Mental Health Awareness Week. We’re shouting loudly that great mental health care isn't just clinical, it's human. It’s the kind voice at the end of the phone when you’re worried about rent and too unwell to work. It’s the adviser who listens actively, rather than waiting for their turn to speak. And it's you reminding friends and loved ones that these contact details can save lives. Please share 💙
