Natural Resources Wales are undertaking a stakeholder survey of its services for recreation. Every one of you who rides NRW sites (both official and unofficial) including our local forests, mountains, upland areas AND VAN RD TRAILS are all stakeholders and should complete this survey.

So here is a chance to exercise your opinions and hopefully influence positive change in the future for improved MTB access, dialogue and collaboration with volunteer groups such as VRT and investment into infrastructure which should benefit all of us!

Express your opinions directly to NRW.......you won't make a difference keeping them to yourselves.

REMINDER: PLEASE DON'T RIDE THE (DIRT) TRAILS WHEN THE GROUND IS WET!!!

WHETHER YOU ARE ON A JUMP BIKE, BMX, MOUNTAIN BIKE, WHATEVER.........DAMAGE OCCURS WHEN WET, DON'T BE THE ONES TO CAUSE IT (ESPECIALLY AFTER WORK HAS BEEN DONE TO IMPROVE SOME OF THEM).

P.S. THIS INCLUDES 'JUST RIDING THROUGH' THE DUAL SLALOM ON A RIDE.

LOOK AFTER YOUR LOCAL TRAILS.

THANKS ALL.

THANK YOU FOR STAYING OFF THE DUAL SLALOM...............PLEASE BE PATIENT........... IT WILL BE WORTH IT!

Yes, the Dual Slalom has been closed a while.....Yes, you all want to ride it....Yes, you all want to know when it's opening again....! The Dual Slalom has taken a pasting over the Winter. Unfortunately people persist on riding it in wet weather when the ground gets mucky. This wears it away. If you are leaving tyre tracks all over the place and splashing through mucky bowls........you are the ones causing the damage. Please don't do that!

UPDATE: We have had a great team working hard on the Dual Slalom but they can't just dedicate a whole week in one go so it has been worked in stages. We know this takes longer but the time between shifts lets the dirt settle, get rained on, get sun-baked and hopefully be more robust for it. The end result should be a track that is SO much better to ride.

BE PATIENT....STAY OFF THE TRACK........WE WILL ANNOUNCE WHEN IT OPENS AGAIN. TA VERY MUCH.

A few words from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent who helped fund the PumpTrack. We think we put their money to good use!

25/04/2023

It's not looking like BBQ weather tomorrow. We'll postpone until next week.

There's still a meet up from 5:30 for those who want a social.

20/04/2023

DUAL SLALOM CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!!!!

The Dual Slalom is undergoing much-needed repairs so that it rides well for the
Summer, so we have had to close it temporarily.

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THE TRAILS TO RIDE THE DUAL SLALOM!
DO NOT RIDE IT ON 'THE WAY THROUGH' ON A MTB RIDE.
DO NOT REMOVE THE BARRIERS WE HAVE PUT IN PLACE.

BASICALLY....STAY OFF THE DUAL SLALOM, PLEASE!!

We are spending time, effort and money to repair the track for all of YOU to enjoy so don't be one of those that ignores the obvious and rides regardless of the damage. The soil will be soft and needs time to settle. If everyone stays off it.....it will be great to ride again......easy!!

Thanks to everyone who understands this simple message 🙂
