A little reminder about donations ❤️🧸

We are incredibly grateful for every single donation we receive, and we know that people give with the very best intentions. However, we do need to ask that please only donate toys that are complete, safe and in a condition that another child can enjoy.

Last Tuesday evening, we received a van load of toys — which was fantastic — but unfortunately, almost half could not be rehomed.

We found things such as:

🚗 Wheels broken off
🧩 Broken plastic
🧸 Figures with arms snapped off
⛺ A lovely children's tent where half of the legs were broken.
👙 Used ladies underwear.

Please take a moment to check what you are donating before dropping it off. A quick check for broken or missing parts can make a huge difference and saves us having to sort through and dispose of items that unfortunately cannot be passed on.

We completely understand that toys get played with and sometimes have a few marks or signs of use — that's absolutely fine! ❤️

What we can't use are toys that are broken, incomplete, unsafe or missing essential parts, as we simply can't pass these on to another family.

Before donating, please take a quick look and ask yourself:

"Would I be happy for my child to receive this?"

If the answer is no because it's broken or unsafe, please don't put it in the donation.

Your donations make such a huge difference to the families we support, and by giving us toys that are ready to be loved again, you help us make sure we can get them straight back out to children who need them. ❤️

Do you need a fully working piano?

If yes, just turn up 7pm this Thursday to collect.

You are going to need at least a 7 seater but a van would make more sense.

Another amazing family of outreach volunteers has been to see us! 💛

Emma, Imogen and Arthur came along from Cardiff to collect some LEGO and puzzles to help us continue getting toys out to children and families who need them. 🧩🧱

We absolutely love seeing families getting involved together — every collection helps us give more toys a second life and, most importantly, helps make sure children don’t go without toys, no matter the reason. ❤️

🧶 DO YOU HAVE ANY BRAND NEW, UNWANTED WOOL? 🧶

Our amazing knitter uses donated wool to create beautiful little clothes and accessories for dolls that come to ToyBox Project without any clothing or accessories. 🧸❤️

A ball of wool sitting unused in a cupboard could become a gorgeous little outfit for a child’s new doll! 🥰

We’re looking specifically for BRAND NEW wool in any colours or suitable weights.

🧶 Bought some for a project that never happened?
🧶 Have wool you know you’ll never use?
🧶 Fancy helping us turn it into something special?

We’d love to have it! 💕

📦 Donating is easy!
Our warehouse has a 24/7 donation drop box outside, so you can drop off your wool whenever is convenient.

Welcome to the ToyBox team, Bethan! 🧩🎲💚

A big ToyBox Project welcome to our newest volunteer, Bethan! 👋

Bethan joined us recently with her niece, helping to take home a load of puzzles and games for testing, sorting and checking before they can be rehomed. 🧩🎯🎲

But Bethan is bringing even more than an extra pair of hands! She’s also a teacher, and when she heads back to school in September, she’s hoping to get her pupils involved with ToyBox Project too. 📚💚

We absolutely love seeing our volunteers take what we do into their schools, communities and families — helping more children understand the importance of reuse, sharing and giving toys a second life. ♻️🧸
