🌟 Volunteers' Week 2026 🌟

This week, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to every volunteer who supports the ToyBox Project.

Your time, kindness, and dedication help us bring smiles to children and families who need them most. Whether you're sorting donations, collecting toys, helping at events, spreading the word, or supporting behind the scenes, every contribution makes a real difference.

ToyBox Project simply couldn't do what it does without people like you. Your generosity helps turn donated toys into moments of joy, comfort, and hope for children in our communities.

Thank you for believing in our mission and for being part of something special. I am incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.

πŸ’™ Happy Volunteers' Week! πŸ’™

- James

I continue to be amazed and humbled by our amazing volunteers who give up their time and expertise to keep the service running. Demand continues to rise yet they continue to rise to the challenges we face as a free service for the community. I would really appreciate it if you would take 5minutes to vote for our volunteers.

If you do want to nominate then please message me via this page and I can provide my email and mobile number which is needed for the nomination. Thank you! - James Morgan

πŸ“’ Donation Reminder πŸ“’

We are incredibly grateful for all the donations that are left in our donation box and the support our community continues to show. ❀️

However, we kindly ask that all donated items are clean, complete, and in good condition. Unfortunately, we have recently been donated several bags containing soiled items, incomplete toys, and two bags of teddy bears that were heavily stained and had a strong odour, meaning they could not be passed on to children and families in need.

Please remember that every donation has to be checked, cleaned where possible, and prepared for redistribution. Items that are damaged, dirty, mouldy, or incomplete often have to be disposed of, which takes valuable time and resources away from helping others.

Before donating, please ask yourself: Would I be happy to give this item to a child or family member?

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us ensure that every donation can bring joy to a child who needs it. πŸ’™

A huge thank you to the amazing team from Admiral who spent the day volunteering with us at the ToyBox Project πŸ’šπŸ§Έ

The team got stuck straight in testing toys, sorting LEGO, checking puzzles and helping us prepare donations ready for children and families across the community. Their energy, teamwork and willingness to help made such a big difference in just one day.

Every puzzle completed, every toy tested and every bag of LEGO sorted helps us make sure donated toys are safe, complete and ready to bring joy to a new home πŸ§©πŸ§±πŸš‚

We’re so grateful for your support, laughter and hard work. Thank you for being part of what we do and helping us give toys a second life β™»οΈπŸ’š

This week we were delighted to welcome a volunteer team from the Intellectual Property Office to ToyBox Project β€” and what a difference they made! πŸ’™ Intellectual Property Office UK

In just one visit, the team helped us make huge progress on some of our biggest backlogs, including sorting batteries, games, and a mountain of Lego ready to be redistributed to local families, schools, and community groups.

The amount they achieved in such a short time was incredible. Our regular Tuesday evening volunteers were amazed at how much was completed! πŸ‘

The Lego sorting alone was a massive help. We had completely run out of sorted Lego to give out because we simply hadn’t had the time to tackle it ourselves. Thanks to their hard work, more children will now receive creative play resources they otherwise may have gone without. 🧱✨

Volunteering days like this make a real impact and help us continue supporting families across the community. Thank you again for your energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork β€” we are super excited to see that you have already organised to come back two more times in the coming month. Our door is always open to you! πŸ’›
