At Gordano Valley Church (GVC) we are a lively and growing community church based in Portishead.

There are lots of opportunities within GVC to connect with others and discover the reality of a personal and life-transforming relationship with Jesus.

We are passionate about prayer...

We are a very active church with a heart to reach out to our community and world with the good news of Jesus. All that happens within our church and the wider community needs to be underpinned with a culture of prayer. Our weekly prayer group, lasts for just one hour, pray for a range of areas that the church is involved with including youth and children's work, community outreach, world vision and needs of the church, local community and country.

As always thank you so much for donations made last week. If you’re in the position to donate to us we are in need of :
Toilet rolls
Meat products such as tinned ham, hotdogs etc
Tinned tuna

Foodbank will be open as usual on Friday 12th June from 12-2pm

PLEASE NOTE - we will now be operating from our new premises at the Scout Hut which is on the corner of Station Road and South Avenue. You may have seen our new banner on the railings.

There is no parking at the Scout Hut so PLEASE remember to park legally and safely when visiting us.

We will be operating as the foodbank normally does - if you have an issued voucher then we will try to help you with a food parcel and hopefully some advice.

Do remember that the fresh food stand is still running at No 4 Combe Road. "Fresh Food at No 4" (This is dependent on Brakes being able to deliver)

Our clients will be able to come to us for their food parcel and then go to No 4 for the fresh food or vice versa. For those who haven’t been there before you don’t need a voucher to access the fresh food but they do ask that you come if you actually NEED it rather than just because it’s food for free. It is also appreciated if you can bring your own bag.

Can we also remind people that if they need help please ring the Foodbank phone on 07379 891130.
This page is NOT MANNED 24/7 as we are run by volunteers. If you message or comment here it may be missed.

Thank you as always
