Oak Green. Golden hour. Perfect combination. 🍃✨

Went back and had another go at the same spot.

🍃💚 Oak Green Metallic at golden hour.

One of those colours that completely changes with the light. In the shade it’s deep and understated, almost black, but as soon as the sun hits it, the metallic comes alive.

Paired with the gold wheels, I think the contrast works perfectly against the iconic Oak Green paint. A modern Mk7 Golf R finished in a colour that pays tribute to Volkswagen heritage while still looking right at home in 2026.

This build has been a long time in the making, and seeing it come together makes it worthwhile.

Introducing the PSDesigns Oak Green Metallic (L94E) Mk7 Golf R 🍃💚

A project I’ve wanted to build for a long time.

Re-finished in the iconic Oak Green Metallic (L94E) (no wraps here!), a colour that Volkswagen enthusiasts will instantly recognise. Originally made famous on the Mk2 Golf GTI, seeing it brought to a modern Mk7 Golf R completely transforms the car. Depending on the light, it shifts from a rich deep green to almost black, giving it a subtle OEM+ look that stands out without shouting for attention.

Well… apart from the 19” forged PS01 wheels, featuring polished lips and brushed gold centres, a nod to classic motorsport styling.

A subtle pre-preg carbon fibre front splitter, rear diffuser, part colour-matched spoiler and mirror caps complement the car perfectly. Front and rear black VW badges, along with a full de-badge and de-chrome treatment (no front or rear R badges and no wing badges), give the car a cleaner, smoother Euro-inspired look.

Dropped on a set of coilovers, the stance is exactly where I wanted it. Every detail has been carefully considered, blending modern performance with classic Volkswagen heritage.

There’s plenty more to come. The interior is next on the list, and the plans are already in motion.

Already running a PSD Stage 2+ calibration, producing 430+ bhp and 500 lb-ft of torque, it’s certainly no slouch either.
