I’ve known Ebony since she was a baby,so having her in the salon today on work experience has been really special.
Watching her learn,observe,help out and throw herself into everything she’s meant to be doing has been such a proud moment for me.

The fact that she’s chosen beauty as the career path she wants to pursue makes me even happier.
It’s lovely to see her taking those first steps into an industry I love so much.

A big thank you to my employee,Evie, who helped make Ebony feel so welcome and was brilliant with her throughout the day.
Having the two of them in the salon together was lovely to see.

Don’t worry, Ebony…..I won’t embarrass you by sharing any baby photos… you’d never forgive me!

We finished the day with dinner together,which was such a lovely way to round everything off.
Then I had a wonderful catch up with my oldest school friend, Emma which was the perfect end to the day.

All fun and games until the weather report starts looking like a warning label.
Just a reminder from your beauty bestie….putting your SPF on in the morning and forgetting about it for the rest of the day doesn’t quite cut it in this heatwave.

SPF needs reapplying throughout the day to keep you properly protected. Without it,you’re more at risk of sunburn,premature aging,dark spots, and other skin damage.
Most sunscreens recommend reapplying every 2 hours (and even more often if you’re sweating or spending time outdoors).

So yes, drink your water,find some shade and for the love of your skin… reapply that SPF.
