Everyone treats branding like dessert.

Something sweet you add once the real work’s done. Something you squeeze in once there’s budget left over.

It’s not. It’s the main course.

The logo, the colours, the pretty grid, that’s just plating. What’s actually on the plate, who you are, who you’re for, what you stand for, that’s what people are actually hungry for.

Skip that part and it doesn’t matter how good the plating looks. People leave the table still hungry.

Clarity before colour. Every time.

(2 founding spots left on the workshop!)

Big shout out to for making the best tiramisu in the whole entire world.

Clarity before colour - Launching Brand Strategy Workshop

This is the exact brand strategy process I use with every client and the same thinking that won Yellow Zest Best Start-Up at the Eastside Awards

You’ll walk away with a clear 10–14 page document covering your positioning, audience, tone of voice and key messaging. Use it yourself, hand it to a designer, or bring it back to us.

It’s one-to-one, just you and Juliana, which is exactly why there are only 3 founding spots.

Founding price is ÂŁ350 (usually ÂŁ450), and if you continue with Yellow Zest for your full brand identity, that fee comes straight off the project cost.

Only 3 founding spots available. Grab one through the link in our bio.

What if your business doesn’t need more growth tactics? What if it just needs better soil? đŸŒ±

We’ve been thinking a lot about this lately.

You can’t make a plant grow by pulling at its leaves, simple. You give it the right conditions (water, light, nutrients, space) and let it do what it’s built to do.

Businesses aren’t all that different.

We spend so much time asking “How do I grow?” when perhaps the better question is:

“Have I created the right conditions to grow?”

Is the positioning right?
Are you speaking to the right people?
Do you know what makes you different?
Does your business actually sound like you?

Sometimes growth isn’t about doing more. It’s about getting the foundations right.

And that’s exactly what we’ve been working on behind the scenes.

Something new is growing. Tomorrow. đŸŒ±

We came for the social. We left with A LOT of notes.

Yesterday, the Yellow Zest team headed to Social Media Belfast and safe to say, our brains are still buzzing.

From Aldi Ireland’s brilliantly relatable approach to content, to Lough Erne Resort’s Surprise & Delight, The MAC’s focus on creativity and storytelling and the conversations around authenticity, community, AI and audience-first content there was plenty to take away.

But perhaps the biggest takeaway?

There’s no single formula for great social.

Be yourself.
Think outside the box.
Trust your gut.
Don’t be afraid to repeat what works.
Test. Learn. Adapt. Test again.

Different brands, different audiences, different approaches, but one thing kept coming through: the best social comes from understanding your audience and being willing to try something new.

And that’s what we love about conferences like this. You get to peek behind the curtain, hear what worked (and what didn’t) and come away with plenty to put into practice.

So, thank you Social Media Belfast for a brilliant day of ideas, insights and inspiration.

Now
time to put those ideas to work. 💡

Creativity rarely happens when we’re staring at the same four walls, doing the same things, looking at the same problems in the same way.

Sometimes, we need to step outside the everyday.

Different places, different people, different conversations. Even just noticing things you wouldn’t normally pay attention to.

It gives you a chance to put on your extraordinary glasses for a bit and look at things through a different lens.

Because the creative process is messy. You don’t always know where an idea is going and that’s kind of the point. You follow it, play with it, change your mind, go down a few wrong roads and eventually something starts to make sense.

We spend so much time focused on the end result that we forget there’s something pretty great about the process of getting there too.

Like Brandon Sanderson says, journey before destination.

Every week there’s a new tactic promising more reach, more followers, more visibility. And it’s tempting, because more feels like progress.

But most of the businesses we work with don’t actually have an attention problem. People are already seeing them, they’re just not convinced yet. That’s a trust problem, and no amount of reach fixes that on its own.

The brands that grow and actually stay standing aren’t usually the loudest ones in the room. They’re the ones people believe, because they show up consistently, keep their word, and do what they said they’d do.

That’s the kind of visibility we build for our clients. Not the kind that disappears the moment you stop paying for it.

6 months (okay, actually 7!) of Julia at Yellow Zest 🍋

Yulia Davydenko has come into this team and made it so much stronger. She’s made my belly hurt with laughter more times than I can count and dried just as many tears on the harder days. She has brought lovely plants, quail eggs (from her own backyard!) and Ukrainian chocolate to the office and somewhere along the way our lunch breaks turned into chess matches. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

It also means so much to me knowing that whenever things happen and I can’t be there, I feel so reassured that Julia is representing Yellow Zest and doing it so well!

Shes kind, caring, honest, funny, hard working and superb at her job, with a true eye for spotting trends. And I have learned so much from her, her stories, her journey, her resilience, honestly so inspiring.

I’m forever grateful to have her here every single day, and I hope we get many more years with her.

If you haven’t met her yet, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time. Come over and say hi!
