Recent incretin therapies are highly effective for blood sugar control and weight loss; however, gastrointestinal side effects remain a major barrier to patient adherence. This project aims to address this challenge by designing implantable systems that offer sustained and adjustable drug release, prioritising both patient comfort and long-term treatment success.
Using technology with , the successful candidate will investigate how implant design, materials, and formulations influence the drug release profiles.
