A big day for the Stormont estate honey bees who today moved temporarily to a new location while the situation with covid-19 evolves. They have moved to near the beekeepers home so they can be more easily accessed just in case there are movement restrictions or access difficulties for the beekeeper in the season. But look at the beautiful new location they have at ππ the world is upside down but I will carry on sharing with you updates throughout the season....

Honey tasting, herbal water bar and writing poetry about lovely HONEY ππ at led by artist as part of the wonderful exhibition. The young people learnt that honey is not just one condiment but there are millions of varieties tastes throughout the world - the taste of honey gives a clue as to where the bees have been foraging. the exhibition by and is meant to be activated by a series of tasting, performances, smell walks and talks! Making this a truly visceral experience for visitors to the gallery and participants @ Millennium Court Arts Centre

Beautiful morning for a visit to the apiary, though bees all in for the winter now... u@iversity of Ulster animation students came for a visit and talk as part of their research into sustainability and design thinking π

Infinity Farm NEWS UPDATE!! πππ Excited to announce we have set up an apiary for honey Bees at Parliament Buildings, Stormont, Belfast. Read more about it in the Irish News. The last of tonightβs Health and Well-being programme was facilitated by Belfast Puncture, we made wallets from old inner tubes, Charlotte Bosanquet collects the discarded tubes from cycle shops, saving this valuable resource from landfill... @ Vault Artist Studios

Love this gift I got from after visitng the Eden Project itβs Honey soap by an art project in England who make products and art like this Honey and oatmeal soap. All the packaging is beautifully designed they are a social enterprise too!
