A busy few days for the club darts wise.
We followed on from fri nights summer league opening night to this afternoon, hosting the tenth and final JDC world cup qualifier for Gibraltar. Once again the Tank came out on top, narrowly beating lee in the Final 4 : 3.

We wish every success to the 8 lads selected on the A & B teams. Extremely proud of our four lads, Christian. Thomas, Lee and Tiernan ho will suit up for the GAWA...well done guys ☢️.

Last weekend we held our annual presentation night and everyone throughly enjoyed themselves. Well done to all the winners and big thanks to our players. Family members, friends and guest's who made it a special evening.

We kicked things off with the Charity Chicken wing eating contest, which saw Keith " The wing king " George taking on defending Masa eating champ, James " The Stomach " Blair. James carved out and early lead and was never in an trouble of losing. Keith who was going up two weight Divisions, was outgunned and ultimately didnt have the legsor wings for it 😄

The referee, Alex Aicken stopped the contest with 4 mins 32 seconds to go as Keith could no longer continue. The Stomach won by a TKO and now retires an 8 time knife & fork champion of the Masa.
Both lads were great sports and managed to raise £250 for the Children's Hospice...Fantastic...👏👏

Congratulations Everyone on the night who won....

Following our trophy presentations, we had some fun and laughs with Comedy Hypnotist, Robert Herdman, no better way to end a season than with a room full of laughter.

To finish the night off we welcomed ANTI-BALLROOM to the club for the first time and they played some belters to finish the night off, thank you Jude & Neil. We'll definitely have you both back again soon.

Our Ballot collected on the night raised £315 which will go towards our AMIGO'S to help cover their travelling this year. Thanks to everyone who supported ❤️

We are delighted that NIGEL CAHOON has agreed to become a mentor to our youth players during N.I.D.O competitions going forward. I'd like to thank Ricky at JOCKS CABS, for supporting nigel in this new role.👍

So another season comes to end, definitely our best to date so far. Next up we have our summer league of darts, starting this friday. The perfect bridge between one season ending and another beginning....☢️

We held our club individuals yesterday and it was great to see all three Masa teams represented. Thanks to all the lads who came out to play on what was a beautiful day and the last day of the Premiership season.

It was the 11th year of the BENKERIN and Thomas becomes only the 7th player to get his name on the trophy, following his 4:3 victory over WARREN MULLAN in the final.

What a few days for our dart club.
On Thursday night, we won the RICE CUP at our 8th attempt. In the semi's we faced the holders and 18 times champions, The Welders.
It was a great game which we were delighted to win 6 : 2.
Huge respect to the Welders, they don't lose too many at home and were very complimentary in defeat❤️

The other semi was a cracker with THE HACK coming back from 5 :4 down to win 6 : 5. Again the taughy lads showed a lot of class in defeat... 👏👏👏
The final was a repeat of an early preseason game, when we welcomed the HACK to the MASA. I knew it was going to tough to get over the line, even at 4 nil up. So it proved, 4 nil went 4 : 1, 4 : 2 and them 4 :3. Suddenly, the Ballyhackamore lads found their voices and it ramped up the atmosphere.⬆️⬆️⬆️

Fortunately for us, we had a tank on hand, Warren Mullan. to steady the ship. At 5 : 3, we were one match away from winning the most prestigious cup in the Belfast and district for the first time. It was left to Mark Elliott to bring home the Dub and he duly obliged 🏆

Yes at times during the evening it was raucous and noisy, but thats the way darts can be. If anything I appreciated the loud support we generated as traditionally we are a team that likes to sit on its hands...not this time.!!!
Winning the Rice Cup was a great way to end the season. Fair play to the HACK lads, they gave it a go and what a great cup team they are 👏👏👏👏👏
