So, on Saturday this happened!
A really enjoyable bookbinding workshop taught by the lovely Elaine from The workshop was held in Lighthouse yarns in Whitehead. I was joined by two other fabulous ladies and we had a blast.
I don’t see me buying any new sketchbooks anytime soon.

Previously on my grid, I posted the little painting I did with the Will Dowden] paint along of Turner’s house and a watercolour version of one of his sky studies. Since then I’ve been doing little sky studies as part of Will Dowden] Turner’s Skies Project.
I was also able to visit the exhibition “Sun is God” exhibition of Turner’s work in the National Gallery in Dublin. Such a beautiful exhibition of around 90 works, both oils and watercolours, and being able to draw from them in the gallery was such a joy.

Well, last night at Glengormley Art Club, the Ben Walker Trophy competition was held. My painting won! To say that I’m a bit chuffed is something of an understatement. Made all the more special since it was as voted for by the members of the club.
Thank you folks 🤗
