First draft was so much fun. Excited to working alongside my old pal Alistair From Loft55 to bring this collaboration to life.
Look at it like the combo you never knew you needed. Quality clobber and captivating storytelling AKA the worlds first talking t-shirts.
45/45
Embrace a Beginner's Mind.
Approach life with a curious and open mindset, always ready to learn and explore new possibilities. As the Tao Te Ching wisely states,“Knowing others is intelligence;knowing yourself is true wisdom.Mastering others is strength;mastering yourself is true power.”― Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
Socrates “put it simpler “The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing." And Game of Thrones simpler still “You know nothing Jon Snow.” This mindset of humility and curiosity allows for continuous growth and discovery.
The concept of a beginner's mind is rooted in mindfulness and cognitive flexibility. Research in psychology suggests that adopting a mindset of continuous learning and openness leads to enhanced creativity, improved problem-solving skills, and greater resilience in the face of challenges.
What new skill, knowledge, or experience would you like to explore with a beginner's mind? How can you cultivate curiosity and openness in your daily life to foster personal growth and learning?
Congratulations on completing the 45 ways to apply your JFDI!
44/45. Stop Giving Up!
Refuse to give up easily, regardless of past setbacks or failures. Embrace the lessons learned from past experiences and let go of self-doubt. Recognise that mistakes are part of the learning process, and persistence more often than not leads to success. Don't let fear of failure hold you back from giving your best effort.
Scientific Insight: Resilience and persistence are key factors in achieving long-term success and well-being. Research in psychology emphasises the importance of grit, which is the perseverance and passion for long-term goals. Individuals with high levels of grit are more likely to overcome challenges and achieve their desired outcomes.
Action-inspiring question: What goal or dream have you given up on in the past due to fear of failure or self-doubt? How can you apply the lessons learned from past experiences to approach this goal with renewed determination and persistence?
43/45. Stop making excuses, you are better than that. That kind of person you are and the things you say you are not capable of can be learned. The difference between success and failure is down to skillset or mindset. Work out which one it is, fix it and JFDI.
