Plenty of people drove home without wearing a seatbelt in the 1970s. That doesn't make it best practice. Thankfully safety practices have moved a long long way over the last 60 years (jeeezzzzz that’s a slap of reality hey).

Piercings guns are fast for sure, but they also create a lot of trauma to the skin. The short studs and bars don’t tend to be long enough, as the fresh piercing heals, they cause extra irritation.

Professional piercers use needles for a reason. They're more precise, cause less trauma to the tissue, and can be properly sterilised. We select the size of the jewellery, leaving space for swelling and healing.

Not every child who comes into the studio for a piercing is able to get one. Sometimes it's down to age. Sometimes it's anatomy. Sometimes it's because we know the piercing won't heal properly.

We're not a "stab and go" shop. This isn't a folding chair in someone's living room and a needle ordered on temu. We've been piercing since 1998 and we're here for the whole journey, not just the five minutes it takes to fit the jewellery.
