Today we had brothers Elvis and Remy visit us for some one-to-one puppy training!
These handsome boys worked hard on their training skills, building confidence and strengthening their understanding of the basics. It was great to see their personalities shine through and watch them make such positive progress throughout the session.
Well done, Elvis and Remy.
The Confident Canine course has been going brilliantly, and the class was another fantastic example of what can be achieved with the right guidance and training.
Many dog owners struggle with dogs that are highly excitable, have little engagement with their handler, or want to pull, lunge, and charge towards other dogs. These behaviours can be frustrating and overwhelming, but they are often the result of dogs not yet understanding how to cope in these situations.
Our Confident Canine course helps handlers develop the skills and understanding needed to better manage their dogs around other dogs, building focus, confidence, and calm behaviour along the way.
We're incredibly proud of all the dogs and handlers. Every dog made excellent progress and worked exceptionally well. It's always rewarding to see their confidence grow with each session. Well done, everyone!

The handsome Ozzie has been finding interactions with other dogs a little challenging, showing some reactivity when out and about.
To help him succeed, we've introduced decompression walks to reduce stress levels and give him the opportunity to relax and process his environment more naturally. We've also started a new obedience and engagement protocol at home, focusing on building his attention, confidence and connection with his owners.
It's still early days, but Ozzie has made a great start. We're looking forward to watching his progress and seeing the positive changes develop over the coming weeks.
Congratulations to our Loose Lead and Recall cohort!
Every dog in the group passed, successfully recalling over varying distances of 60+ metres. It was fantastic to see such reliable responses, even as the distance increased.
We also saw some brilliant progress with loose lead walking around distractions, with handlers and dogs working together to achieve calmer, more focused walks.
A huge well done to everyone for their hard work, consistency and commitment. We're incredibly proud of what you've achieved!

A reel from today’s Confident Canine class will be coming soon, but I just had to share this photo of Willow and her pawrents.
What an incredible achievement this is.
Willow has struggled with reactivity towards other dogs, and over the past 12 weeks her family have put in so much hard work, dedication and consistency. Today, that hard work paid off as Willow was in a group setting, with dogs behind her, in front of her and by her sides. Something she hasn’t been able to experience for a very long time.
This is a huge milestone and a testament to the commitment her pawrents have shown throughout their training journey.
There is still more work to do, and we’re not at the finish line yet, but today was a moment worth celebrating.

An amazing progress update from a client.
"Hey Tom. I just wanted to share how well Leela did today.
I bumped into a lady and her dog coming out of Crabtree woods who I hadn’t seen for ages. Normally the dogs would just bark at each other while we tried to chat over the noise. Today they both had a little greeting bark. I put Leela into safety so she knew I had her and then she just stood next to me quite relaxed and no barking. She was only a metre from them and even went in for a tentative backend sniff. The lady knew I’d been doing dog training but couldn’t believe how different Leela was and how calm. Woohoo I’ll take that as a win 🐕"
Our puppy cohort are making amazing progress!
During this session, we got all the puppies excited and engaged before showing them how to switch off and settle calmly. Learning to regulate their emotions and relax after excitement is such an important life skill, and they all did brilliantly.
