It was a pleasure to meet up with clients and meet new practitioners at the CCR Medical Longevity Summit hosted by Cosmetic Course and the headline sponsors being Roseway Labs.
Longevity is a current hot topic, and it was interesting to learn more of the latest thinking in this area.

Sounds risky doesn’t it, using medication for a purpose outside the scope of its licence?
Well, it shouldn’t. We recently discussed the concerns of a senior doctor. If there is a sound medical reason for prescribing and the risks and benefits are explained and documented, then there will not be a difficulty.

The root of the concern was the evidence was non-conventional and provided that is made clear, accepted and the benefits outweigh the risks there will not be a problem.

We were able to provide suitable consent wordings, and this doctor will continue in functional medicine, which is the most important thing.

Today's announcement about a patient's death is tragic, we offer our sincere condolences.

National coverage has highlighted the risks of the Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure (BBL). Tragically, a patient has lost her life, and the full facts will emerge in time. In the meantime, if any practitioner is in any doubt given the fact that two of those involved are being investigated regarding manslaughter, this can only serve to remind those involved in this industry about the importance of informed consent.

Great to meet everyone at Cosmetic Courses.
They were there for inspirational Aesthetic training. We were there to talk about insurance.
Many found our talk interesting, which shows that you can't tell when insurance will get interesting.

A client was recently sued via a money claim online. Typically, Solicitors would be involved. We were able to carry out this low-level work and ultimately the case was dismissed because the patient backed down.

We take two lessons from this:
1. If you think you are right, do not simply pay just because legal proceedings are issued.
2. You can be supported in low level work of this type without paying Solicitors fees.

At MRSLe we are music lovers, and it does seem that Oasis fans are having a difficult time with the dynamic pricing from some ticket outlets.

We suppose the price which is varying wildly is an invitation to treat which means in law the ticket seller is not bound by the price. In practice fans are not buying tickets, they seem to be entering an auction. Even insurers issue quotes valid for 30 days. The only way to deal with this situation is to set your ceiling price and walk away if that is exceeded, which we recognise is difficult to do.

It’s all about a strategy for dealing with risk, which is what we do. Anyway, and we couldn’t resist this, ‘don’t look back in anger if you missed out’.
