Hello! I thought I’d re-introduce myself as I’ll soon be saying goodbye to my wonderful Year 11s, which means I’ll have some tutoring slots opening up at the end of June!

👋 I’m Lilly - an experienced online and in-person tutor for Primary and GCSE students. I’ve been tutoring for nearly 5 years, hold a BSc in Medical Science, and am currently working towards my MSc in Genomics.

Hi all! I thought I would reintroduce myself :)

I’m Lilly and I am a primary and GCSE tutor operating in the Whitchurch area and online space. I have just finished an undergraduate degree in Medical Science and I am about to move onto a Masters degree in Genomic Medicine.

I have been tutoring for around 3 years now and I have loved helping students gain confidence and find a love for a subject they had once struggled with!

I work 1-1 with students to gain an understanding of where their weaknesses lie and have weekly contact with parents to let them understand where their skills lie and what we are doing to further improve.

GCSE and A level exams are back this year 👀 . And a few things are different this time around.

Here are 5 key changes you should know about 👇

A few of you may know that in my spare time I also run a magazine to encourage young people into the STEM industry. I thought I would share about our first workshop in case anyone would be interested in attending 💕

Stemmed Zine is doing our first ever workshop this October half term!

We will be running a Junior Detectives workshop aimed at ages 7 and up, with lots of hands on activities curated by girls currently studying forensic science at university 🕵️‍♀️

It will be £10 a child and will run from 1-2pm on Saturday 30th October at Whitchurch Parish Hall, Hampshire! Spaces are quickly filling up so if this would be something you would be interested in email [email protected] to book your place.

Next school year is going to be a weird one for those going into Year 11 and many students are feeling really lost. I am offering GCSE Sciences and Maths tuition over the summer for those who are interested!
I have experience with tutoring alongside the national tutoring program and I am DBS checked.
Being still in university I know how stressful the pandemic has been on us students and I want to help!

📚Happy World Book Day!📚

Unfortunately, this year is looking a bit different due to the fact there is no school but I would love to hear in the comments what your favourite book is and why!

One of my personal favourites is The Story of Tracy Beaker by Jacqueline Wilson. I remember reading it as a child and watching the TV show. I even dressed as her for World Book Day!

Reading is such a great way to get a child to explore their imaginative side, share their own opinions and finding a way to relax.
