This week is National Apprenticeship week!

We believe that young people deserve the best opportunities for finding a career path they love. That’s why we help young people aged 9-16 learn the life and technical skills they will need to get their foot in the construction industry. We also give them a helping hand with finding opportunities as well 💡⭐

Take a look at some of these great photos from our workshops.

So proud of the Constructionwise Minds team in delivering an amazing first roadshow at Shenfield High School in Essex. Thank you to all of the children for participating in what was a totally encouraging morning for our industry. Children aged 11 interacting and learning electrical installation, life skills, mental health awareness & opportunity linked to a real life career for when they are older. By the time they reach 16they will be extremely knowledgeable and will each carry 72 industry recognised CPD hours/points by reaching our Gold level - I know I would employ them as advanced apprentices with that knowledge and experience! - would you?

Blown away with the over subscription from the children for signing up to the 2 x 6 week courses. Exciting times for these youngsters and our industry - watch this space!

Ok....... so I know we’ve been quiet on social media. This is because all of the team at Constructionwise Minds Ltd have been working very hard towards achieving something special.

It’s great to provide all the young people in Essex all the opportunities they will get through going through attendance of the Constructionwise programmes and levels.

However it is another level to be able to provide them with a certificate that will be linked to CPD points/hours which will follow then through school and onto their CV for when they apply for a job. CPD points are recognised by 95% of professional organisations in the UK!

Massive congratulations to the CWM team in achieving this amazing accreditation - so many youngsters will benefit with such a great endorsement and achievement which without doubt will lead onto them being ‘separated from the crowd’ when it comes to applying for a job later in life🎉

Next stop...... Level 2 accreditation👊

Just wanted to provide a Constructionwise update

Last Thursday we were proud to pick up our first award for contribution to community at the Essex Business Excellence Awards - well done CW team; onwards and upwards with our mission.

Exciting new classes and projects coming up:

After school and Saturday club is coming - starting in November - flyer details to follow and will be posted on our booking page.

We have decided to launch a competition rig which will be scored on the basis of:
• Safety - safe working and good house keeping
• Quality - compliance to BS 7671 and the Constructionwise installation standard
• Speed - we will have a league table for the fastest fully tested rig.

After school/Saturday club will provide practice sessions which lead to the delivery of the full rig. The first rig will be run throughout the month of January. It will have a maximum time of 6 hours. 1st prize is £500 cash prize with tool vouchers and work experience opportunities given for 2nd and 3rd place. Every entrant will have photos of their work taken and references for their capabilities provided for future employment; which will be provided with career guidance to the industry’s best organisations for potential apprenticeship opportunities.

Quilters Junior School will continue the level 1 and level 2 courses with some children entering a 2nd year of Constructionwise

We are pleased to announce that we recently became a CPD (continued professional development) member - meaning our courses will be accredited for professional development. This is great news for Constructionwise and everyone attending as qualifications achieved will be industry recognised.

Watch this space for more official announcements coming soon!
