Ever sent a quote over, felt good about it… then got:
“Oof - that’s more than we expected.”
Most price objections aren’t really about the number.
They’re about risk.
Your customer is quietly thinking:
“What if I spend this and it doesn’t work?”
“What if it’s not done properly?”
“Am I on my own if something goes wrong?”
So here’s a simple tweak that can reduce a LOT of price pushback before it even starts…
Add this one sentence to your quotes 👇
“This price includes the work and the responsibility for getting it right - if it’s not done properly, we fix it.”
Why it works: it turns your price from “hours and materials” into outcome + accountability.
3 places to use it:
✅ 1) Directly under the total price
So it’s the next thing they read after the £££.
✅ 2) Under your “What’s included” list
Because they’re not buying a checklist - they’re buying a proper result.
✅ 3) In the email/message you send the quote with
Example:
“You’ll see the total at the top - just remember it includes the work and the responsibility for getting it right. If something isn’t done properly, we fix it.”
In plain English…
When someone says “it’s too expensive”, they’re often really saying:
“I’m not sure this will pay off.”
“I’ve been burned before.”
“I don’t know what I’m comparing this to.”
That one sentence quietly answers the biggest fear:
“Am I on my own if this goes wrong?”
(Quick note: still make sure your quote is clear and lists what they’re getting — this just makes the price feel like it comes with backup, not just a bill.)
If you want, comment “QUOTE” and I’ll tell you where I’d place this line in your quote for maximum impact.

Ever had someone message you: “How much is it?”
…and you end up typing a full-on essay trying to explain everything, be helpful, not sound pushy…
Only for them to either:
disappear, or
hit you with “Ok… so what’s included then?” 😅
Truth is, most people aren’t trying to be awkward - they’re just checking if you’re even in the right price bracket.
So here are 3 quick ways to reply that keep things friendly, keep the convo moving, and stop you giving away your whole pricing page in a DM 👇
1) The “range + tiny context” reply 💷
Try:
“It’s usually between £X–£Y, depending on what you need. Is it for [option A] or [option B]?”
Why it works: you answer enough to build trust, but you don’t get dragged into a long back-and-forth.
2) Ask ONE sorting question 🎯
Don’t interrogate them. Ask the one thing that changes the price the most.
Try:
“Happy to help - quick one: is this for [small/simple version] or [bigger/full version]?”
That’s it. One question. You’re guiding, not grilling.
3) Send a simple “menu” 📋
If you’ve got 2–3 common options, make it easy to choose.
Try:
“Most people go for one of these:
£X for [basic outcome]
£Y for [standard outcome]
£Z for [premium outcome]
Which one sounds closest to what you had in mind?”
It feels helpful (not salesy) and stops the “so what’s included?” spiral.
If you want, tell me what you sell and your usual price range and I’ll plug your real numbers/outcomes into these so you can literally copy + paste them.

If you’re getting loads of “How much?” messages, vague enquiries, or people who disappear after you reply… it’s usually not a traffic problem.
It’s a clarity problem.
Most time-wasters aren’t rude - they’re just browsing. And if your next step feels unclear (or like a big commitment), they’ll drift off.
Here are 3 simple tweaks that help filter out the tyre-kickers and bring in better enquiries - without sounding pushy:
1) Add a price range sentence (even if it’s broad) 💷
You don’t need a full price list. Just give a ballpark so the wrong people self-select out.
Copy/paste this:
“Most jobs like this tend to fall between £X–£Y, depending on what you need - I’ll confirm properly after a quick look.”
It’s not pushy. It’s helpful. And it saves loads of back-and-forth.
2) Give them two clear next steps ✅
Instead of “Let me know if you want to go ahead” (which invites silence), make it easy to choose.
Copy/paste this:
“Two options - do you want me to (A) ask a couple of quick questions here, or (B) book a 10-min call and sort it properly?”
Calm, clear, and it stops the ghosting.
3) Ask one simple qualifying question 🧠
Time-wasters avoid effort. Serious buyers don’t mind a quick question.
Try this:
“What’s the main thing you want to improve - more calls, better quality leads, or higher conversion from your website?”
Friendly, not interrogating - and it tells you instantly if they’re a good fit.
That’s it. Small tweaks… big difference in the quality of enquiries you get.
If you want, comment your industry (plumber, roofer, clinic, etc.) and we’ll tweak the scripts to fit what you sell.

Most businesses collect Google reviews… then do nothing with them.
Here’s how to turn your reviews into website copy, FAQs and social proof (without sounding robotic).

Most referrals don’t fail because customers won’t recommend you…
They fail because there’s no simple system to make it easy.
I’ve just written a practical guide on building a referral programme that actually works for UK service businesses (no portals, no awkward scripts, no faff).
Read it here: https://www.getcustomersfast.co.uk/how-to-build-a-customer-referral-programme-that-actually-works
Quick question: what’s your biggest blocker with referrals right now - not asking, no system, or it feels a bit cringe?

ChatGPT has quietly started showing ads… and hardly anyone’s talking about it.
But here’s the interesting bit 👇
It’s early — not fully rolled out — and already generating serious revenue.
If you’ve ever run ads on Google or Facebook, you’ll recognise what’s coming next:
Early days = cheaper, less competition
Later on = crowded, more expensive
The real question is…
👉 will this actually work for your type of business?
We’ve broken it down, read more: https://www.getcustomersfast.co.uk/chatgpt-ads-what-it-means-for-local-businesses
