Are your smoke alarms working and in date? How about your CO alarm? This one wasn't and didn't work when tested!

This was a recent job we attended where the socket was missing an earth, which prevented the washing machine being connected.
What we found was a shambles. DIY disaster carried out by a "qualified electrician" that was a friend of the family.
We made it safe ready for a re-visit to rectify it properly.

When choosing tradesman to carry out any work it so important to check their qualifications.
It always shocks us just how often customers do not ask. When it comes to electric its essential it gets done right. Getting qualified electricians is not easy as there are so many "short courses" that people do and then claim to be qualified.
Here at RaD we are fully qualified city and guilds electricians who served an apprenticeship and spent the 4 years it takes to get qualified.
Don't be fooled. Ask to see the certs! Ensure your electrical work is being carried out by qualified tradesman.

Removal of redundant Economy 7 fuseboard, upgrade of 24 hour fuseboard to an MK RCBO fuseboard. Nice and tidy.

Some work done on a garage conversion done a few years go. Small fuseboard with a few sockets and some downlighters. Customer was very happy.
