Due to the hot weather š„µ, this eveningās Mind Body Walk has been cancelled.
According to the forecast, it will still be around 35°C at the time of the walk, so we feel itās best to prioritise everyoneās wellbeing and safety.
Kim looks forward to welcoming you next week, hopefully with much more comfortable walking weatherš¤
Nobody turned up to the first Mind Body Walk apart from Kim.
And she still walked š¤©
Instead of thinking, āWhatās the point, nobody came!ā she showed up for herself.
This is what Mind Body Coaching is all about.
Not perfection.
Not relying on motivation.
Just learning to consistently support yourself in a way that works for you.
A few years ago, described herself as a ācouch potato.ā
Now sheās the one leading the walk š§”
Thatās growth.
Thatās self-care.
Thatās self-worth.
And last week two people joined her š«¶
So if youāve been thinking about joining but feel nervous, worried you wonāt know anyone, or waiting until you feel āreadyā
This is your reminder that you donāt need to have it all figured out before you start. Just starting is what leads to personal growth, self-care and self-worth.

š„ A coach guiding every rep, set, and progression
š„ A programme built around your individual goals
š„ A private, supportive space (no gym intimidation)
Because consistency isnāt about willpower ā itās about the environment youāre in and the people youāre with.
And when youāve got both the right support and the right structure⦠everything changes.
If youāve struggled to stay consistent on your own, this could be the shift you need.

Itās not knowledge or willpower that impacts your consistency ā itās your mindset.
And this is exactly what my new website reflects. So grateful to Josh for my website rebuild š¤©
It not only looks better, but it truly reflects the way I support the women I work with.
Because the real struggle isnāt always food or exerciseā¦
Itās consistency.
Itās guilt and shame.
Itās feeling like youāre constantly starting over.
And underneath that, it often comes down to:
How you think about setbacks ( āIāve failedā )
How you speak to yourself ( āI should be betterā )
What you believe is possible for you
Whether you act from guilt and shame
This is the part most plans never address.
You can have:
The right workouts
The right nutrition
But knowing what to do isnāt the issue.
Itās starting again every Monday.
Feeling frustrated.
Blaming yourself.
Being stuck in startāstop cycles and ending up back at square one.
At the heart of how I coach is helping women understand and shift these patterns ā not just give them more information.
I provide
šø A mindābody approach
šø Behaviour change over quick fixes
š«¶ Self-compassion instead of guilt or shame
šø A way to feel consistent ā without the āall or nothingā cycle
If youāve ever felt like:
āI know what I should be doing⦠but Iām not doing itā
This is for you.
Iād love you to take a look at my new website (link in bio) and let me know what you think š
And if youāre ready to stop starting over, you can find all the details about working with me there too.
This isnāt another quick fix.
This is about understanding yourself ā and getting unstuck, for good.

Have you ever wondered why you managed to fast during Ramadanā¦but outside of it, you feel like youāve lost your focus or discipline?
A client said to me recently:
āHow can I fast for 12+ hours, but afterwards struggle not to snack for even 2?ā
And honestly⦠Itās such an important question.
Because itās not about willpower.
If this resonates with you, remember youāve already proven that during Ramadan, youāre able to:
šø Follow structure
šø Delay food
šø Stay committed
So what changes after?
Itās not you. Itās the environment around you.
During Ramadan:
āļø There are clear boundaries (you donāt eat)
āļø Your āwhyā is strong and deeply meaningful
āļø Thereās less decision-making
āļø Youāre part of something bigger than yourself
Outside of it?
Youāre back to constant choice, less structure, and a āwhyā that feels⦠quieter.
And that matters.
Because behaviour isnāt just about discipline ā
itās about whatās holding you in place.
So instead of asking:
āWhy canāt I stick to it?ā
Try asking:
š āWhat did Ramadan give me that I donāt have right now?ā
Was it:
ā Structure?
ā Routine?
ā A stronger sense of purpose?
ā Fewer decisions to make?
Because thatās your clue.
You donāt need more willpower.
You need to recreate parts of the environment that helped you succeed.
Even 10ā20% of that can change everything.
If this resonates, Iād love to knowā¦
What felt easier for you during Ramadan that feels harder now?
After some time off over the Festive period including a lovely break in Devon/Dorset I was ready and looking forward to getting back into my routine. And I know Iām back in my routine with my workouts and eating ā but focus? Thatās been slower to return.
Lifeās full right now: a 10th birthday party to plan, a trip to Oz coming up, and a brain thatās still adjusting to needing to be on devices for work after a pause. Which is why I took a little break from posting last week.
If thatās you too, itās okay.
Many of us may have fallen out of our usual routines or healthy habits over the past few weeks.
This isnāt a failure.
It isnāt an undoing.
Itās simply part of being human.
Life ebbs and flows. Routines pause. Priorities shift. None of that erases the work weāve already done or the progress our body remembers.
At any point ā today, tomorrow, next week ā we can turn things around and without pressure or punishment, take small, compassionate steps forward.
Thereās no rush. No ānew year, new youā required.
Just a steady return to what supports us.
Letās keep blocking out the New Year resolution noise and take our busy days one step at a time.
Weāve got this š§”
Who else had a break over the festive periodā¦
felt ready to get back into routineā¦
but is still finding parts of it hard?
Iāll be honest⦠Iām personally put off by the New Year, New You narrative. And Iāve seen more of Joe Wicks in the past week than I did in all of 2025 ā which, quite frankly, has annoyed me more than it probably should š
I did return to movement today ā after a break ā but not because itās January.
Not because I āshouldā
It came from my own journey, my awareness of how my body is feeling without it and the knowledge Iāve built over years about how movement supports me physically and psychologically.
Which brings me to something that happened with my 11-year-old daughter before my workout.
Sheās recently been introduced to the gym at secondary school, so I asked if she wanted to train with me for the first time.
She said no š«
I replied, āThis is what I do for a living ā people come to me for support and Iād like to support you.ā
She responded, āBut I donāt want to.ā
And Iām proud that I left it there.
No convincing.
No pushing the benefits ā even though I know them inside out.
Because her level of awareness and knowledge is different to mine.
And no matter how much I tell her about the physical and psychological benefits⦠this is her journey.
As her parent who really wanted to tell her what to do I remembered as a coach who has spent over twenty years helping people build their relationship with movement, this moment mattered.
I teach that movement has to be something we WANT to do and the fact that my daughter knew this already is brilliant š«¶
Not something weāre pressured into ā because itās January, by social media, or by anyone else.
You have your own journey too. Instead of forcing it, take time out from your busy life to listen to what your Mind and Body needs and most importantly wants.
Happy New Year š§” Save this in case you need this reminder š
Iām taking some time away from social media until the New Year to be fully present with family and friends, to rest, reconnect, and recharge and make time to move & dance š
Me dancing here sums up how Iām heading into the festive season: choosing presence over pressure.
Movement isnāt just for weight loss! ā itās joyful, freeing, nourishing for the mind and enables us to be present and sometimes connect with ourselves and others.
So whether itās a walk on a beach or a dance in my living room. I choose to move, laugh, and be present to fully embrace the season.
This time of year despite all the running around getting everything done makes me reflect on all that I have to be grateful for.
Thank you for being here, for supporting me, and for engaging with what I share ā it truly means so much.
Wishing you all a peaceful, joyful, restful or active festive season šā whatever brings joy to you. š§”
