At Scott Rowe Solicitors, we recognise a grandparent's important role in a child’s life.

We recognise that a grandparent’s role can vary from family to family. We understand that in some families, the grandparent fulfils the traditional role of a grandparent and, in doing so, provides the child with love, support and the benefits arising from a relationship with wider family members. In some families, however, the grandparent plays a role more similar to that of a parent, caring for a child when a parent is, for whatever reason, perhaps unable to do so.

Sadly, the parent's relationship breakdown can impact the amount of contact the grandparent has with the child or children.

Where necessary, we can also help with Child Arrangement Orders and Special Guardianship Orders.

If you're a grandparent worried about your rights to see and care for your grandchild, get in touch and let us see how we can help.

Some things are just too important to leave to chance and family matters are one of those things.

Whatever your circumstances and stage in life, we can help you plan for the future so that you and your family are taken care of how you would want to be.

✅ Lasting Powers of Attorney - set down your wishes regarding your welfare and/or financial affairs, and allow you to appoint someone to make decisions for you should it become necessary.
✅ Receivership Advice – You may need advice when a family member has lost the mental capacity to manage their financial affairs and they do not have an existing Power of Attorney.
✅ Living Wills – set down your wishes about medical treatment. A Living Will can allay any fears of being over-treated when there is little chance of recovery.
✅ Inheritance Tax Planning – minimise the Inheritance Tax payable on your estate by your beneficiaries.
✅ Trusts – if you are making a Will and have young children, you will probably want to set up a Trust for them so that they can be taken care of if you die while they are still young.
✅ Guardians – If you have young children, you should appoint Guardians to care for them if you die while they are still young.

To discover more about how our lifetime planning solicitors can help you, please make a no-obligation enquiry by either calling us on 01297 32345 or by making an online enquiry.

Buying a house can be a fraught period. With so many moving parts and having to rely on the actions of others to move the process through the system as quickly as possible. There are always so many little bumps and curve balls that so often crop up, which can all delay the process.

We've been helping people buy and sell houses for a VERY long time, so we've seen it all! And that works well for our customers because it means there's a good chance we've seen it before when that curve ball comes along and know just how to deal with it expediently!

Our thanks to Mr & Mrs Stafford for this testimonial.
