The children of Tiny T.E.A. Preschool enjoyed a fun-filled Arts & Crafts Workshop, exploring their imagination through colours, creativity, and hands-on learning. These activities help build confidence, develop essential skills, and inspire a lifelong love of learning.
Many of the children we support come from disadvantaged tea plantation communities, where access to quality early childhood education can be limited. Through Tiny T.E.A. Preschool, we provide a safe, nurturing environment where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

We are delighted to see Yadu, our newly joined English tutor, making a positive impact in our community. Today, she visited Upper Galaha School and conducted engaging English sessions for primary school children.
Following our recent meeting with the teachers, it has been encouraging to see growing enthusiasm for learning. We are already noticing improved attendance at our Centre for Children’s Empowerment- The Cloud, and greater engagement from the children.
For children from disadvantaged tea plantation communities, access to quality education can be life-changing. We look forward to continuing this journey together and creating more opportunities for our children to thrive.

🛍️🌱 Singithi Pola (Little Market) is a wonderful learning experience for our preschoolers. Through buying, selling, sharing, and interacting with others, children develop confidence, communication skills, teamwork, and an early understanding of money—all while having fun through play-based learning. ❤️

For generations, tea plantation communities have carried the weight of Sri Lanka’s tea industry on their shoulders, yet many families still continue to face poverty, inequality, and limited opportunities.
At The T.E.A. Project, we witness these realities closely through the children and families we work with in tea plantation communities. This is why education, empowerment, nutrition, skills development, and safe spaces for children matter more than ever.
Every child deserves dignity, opportunity, and hope for a better future.
Together, we can help break the cycle. ❤️

Today, we had a lovely and meaningful parents’ meeting at Tiny T.E.A. Preschool ❤️
We would like to sincerely thank all the parents who attended and shared their thoughts with us. During the meeting, we discussed the children’s progress, upcoming term schedule, activities, and the importance of working together to support every child’s development.
Many of the families we support come from disadvantaged tea plantation communities and continue to face social and economic challenges, especially during the current crisis. It was truly touching to hear parents express how valuable and important these services are for their children and families. Their appreciation reminded us why this work matters so much.
Thank you to all the parents for trusting us, supporting their children’s education, and being part of this journey together 🌱✨

From a small grassroots initiative in 2014 to a recognised UK Charity and registered INGO in Sri Lanka, our journey has been driven by one mission — empowering vulnerable children and underserved communities through Training, Empowerment, and Awareness.
Over the past 10 years, The T.E.A. Project has worked alongside children, families, schools, volunteers, community leaders, grassroots organisations, and partners to create safe spaces, opportunities, and hope for the next generation.
Through education, nutrition, safeguarding, leadership training, empowerment programmes, and community development initiatives, we have impacted thousands of children across Sri Lanka’s tea plantation communities and underserved regions.
Today, as we expand our services into the Badulla region, our mission continues stronger than ever — reaching more children, strengthening more communities, and building brighter futures together.
This journey would not have been possible without the incredible support of our partners, volunteers, donors, and supporters around the world. ❤️

We are delighted to share some exciting news — The T.E.A. Project is expanding its services to the Badulla region. This marks a significant milestone for us following the completion of our 10th anniversary celebrations last September.
As part of this expansion, we will be establishing an office in Badulla and recruiting two staff members alongside volunteers to support our outreach programmes. We are also pleased to announce that we have received approval from the Uva Provincial Department of Education to implement our Empowerment Programme in the region.
Today, we had a very productive meeting with 11 principals from the Badulla District, opening doors to new opportunities to reach and support more children and the wider community.
Thank you for being a valued partner in this journey and for your continued support ❤️
