⚽❤️A Proud Moment for Saxton Rovers 🖤⚽

Founded in 1959, Saxton Rovers has always been about giving young people the opportunity to enjoy and develop through football.

We are incredibly excited to announce that, for the very first time in our club’s history, Saxton Rovers will be launching a Girls Team for the 2026/27 season! 🌟

This is a huge milestone for the club and an important step in continuing to grow the game for everyone in our community. We can’t wait to welcome our new players and be part of their football journey.

The u13s travelled to Radley this morning to take part in their annual tournament.

After A slow start from the boys and a tricky group stage. They managed to scrape through on goal difference..

The boys found their form at just the right time and managed to win their semi final against our good friends from harwell 2-1.

In the final the boys took control of the game and after losing to Benson in the group stages they came away 2-0 winners to win the plate.

2 tournaments. 2 trophies 🏆 🏆

The u14s travelled to Wallingford and crowmash this afternoon to take part in their annual tournament.

Bit of a slow start from both teams but the reds found their form at the right time and got better and better as the day went on.

The whites unfortunately went out in the shield on penalties in the quarter finals.

For the reds, A tight 1-0 victory in the quarter finals followed by a tense penalty shootout victory in the semi as our u13s keeper louis who was a guest for the day saved 2 penalties as the boys progressed to the final of the plate.

Another close game and unfortunately the boys missed out on the trophy as they lost on penalties in the final.
Well done though boys. And very unlucky after some great football all day.👏👏

Well that was an absolute scorcher this weekend. Most of the teams played in a tournament somewhere.

So we’ll start the weekend round up with our U9
Who spent Saturday playing some great football up the M40 at Easington.

And once again the tournament didn’t fail to provide some fantastic performances from some great teams.

The U9 made it to the plate final but unfortunately come away with a runners up medal this time.

Thank you to Albert, being ruled out due to injury stepped into his role as assistant manger
