FEDORA Platform
FEDORA is committed to supporting and contributing to the future of opera and ballet. Nurturing the
🎭 Heritage is not only something we preserve, it is something we continue to reinvent.
🪭 We had the pleasure of speaking with Eloïse Gilles, at the head of the historic maison Eventails Duvelleroy, founded in Paris in 1827 and revived in 2010 with a contemporary vision, recently joining FEDORA as a Corporate Member.
✨ In this interview, she reflects on reviving one of France’s most iconic fan-making houses, rediscovering its extraordinary archives and reimagining the hand fan as a living artistic object connected to gesture, movement, and the energy of the present.
🌍 The conversation also highlights the essential role of philanthropy in supporting artistic innovation and enabling new creations to emerge through collaboration between artists, cultural institutions and supporters of the arts.
💬 “I think philanthropy is key to support culture for creations that would maybe never have taken place or would take a lot more time to appear or evolve.”

🌍 On the occasion of World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, we are pleased to share a recent collaborative initiative between FEDORA and Versopolis, bringing poetry, opera and dance into dialogue across Europe.
✨ What if the ephemeral moment of live performance could continue to resonate through poetry?
🎭 Starting in 2026, emerging poets will be invited to attend FEDORA Prize-winning productions, immersing themselves in rehearsals and performances and engaging directly with the artistic process.
🖋️ Each selected premiere will inspire an original poetic response, reflecting both the artistic creation on stage and the human experience behind it.
🤝 Through poems, conversations and podcasts, this initiative will extend the life of performance beyond the stage, opening new spaces for reflection, exchange and artistic well-being.
🌐 On this occasion, it is especially meaningful for FEDORA, working with a network of 26 countries and over 130 member institutions, to join forces with another European platform such as Versopolis, strengthening cross-border artistic dialogue and exchange.
🔜 Stay tuned for the poetic encounters to come.
