Pleased to hold our new record in my hands! After the amazing “Coolin” EP, we had to provide a project at least as good with . Job done, I think 🤠
1. Check each side’s duration. If there’s too much music on one side, sound quality is often worse 😬 If you want to listen to an album at home, fine. If you plan to play records in a club, it’s definitely something to consider.
2. Read the comments on Discogs. They can give great insight into pressing quality 💬
3. Don’t assume every pressing is equal. The same album can sound very different depending on the year, country, mastering, and pressing plant 📀
4. Learn grading before buying used. Terms like Mint, VG+, or VG can make a huge difference in what you actually receive 🔍
5. If you’re shopping online, buy from sellers with detailed descriptions. Good sellers mention marks, noise, warps, inserts, etc. 🤝
6. Compare prices before buying. The same record can vary a lot between shops, Discogs sellers, and marketplaces 💸
7. Inspect shipping costs before buying online. A cheap record can become expensive fast 📦 If you’re only looking for one specific vinyl, call your local record shop first. They might have it, and they’ll love you for that 💞

I’ve always been passionate about hip house. Somehow, I always come back to it. It blends the best of two worlds: hip hop and house. In this mixtape I made for “Your Specialist Subject” contest, I gathered personal favorites and classics of the genre. A time capsule from 1988–1992, a short but legendary era.

What’s happening in the US right now is painful to witness. The House music I play was born there, carrying messages of freedom, tolerance, and hope. That was 40 years ago! Seeing that these values are still being challenged today is hard..
I think it’s time to share a selection of tracks whose lyrics and aura have moved me. To show the America I admire, the one of artists and humanists who resist, who never stopped spreading positive messages. And even though House (and Techno) music are now being created all over the world, these values remain universal. To all these voices, I want to send my full support ✊💗
