A couple of weeks ago I randomly met Ernő Rubik, the inventor of the Rubik’s Cube, at a 50th Anniversary event in Paris, France.
co and I that day decided to visit the Galeries Lafayette mall on Champs-Élysées avenue. We didn’t know the event was going on until we saw a huge gathering in the center of the mall. It piqued our interest and we learned that Ernő Rubik was there doing signings.
We spent a good couple of minutes deciding if we were going to buy a Rubik’s Cube and get in line to have him sign it. We decided to buy the Rubik’s Cube because we realized this was going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity for us, and we happened to be the last people let in line to meet him.
It was such a cool and spontaneous moment. And somewhat surreal because the Rubik’s Cube has always been one of my favorite objects to stack, and I never once thought I would ever meet the inventor himself.
As you swipe through this post, you’ll see a collection of some of my favorite stacks using the Rubik’s Cube. Which one is your favorite?
