PICNIC Lab: Physiological Investigations of Clinically Normal and Impaired Cognition
Laurent COHEN, Paolo BARTOLOMEO, Lionel NACCACHE

Our team is devoted to the study of high-level cognitive functions with a prevalent development in humans. The study of brain-damaged patients occupies a central position, both as a source of fundamental data and for the development of assessment or rehabilitation tools.

The Interplay of Attention and Conscious Perception: Evidence from Human Intracerebral Recordings and Computational Modeling 13/04/2022

Reorienting to consciousness

The Interplay of Attention and Conscious Perception: Evidence from Human Intracerebral Recordings and Computational Modeling Competing theories of consciousness disagree on the role of frontoparietal networks. Here we recorded neural activity from 727 intracerebral contacts in 13 epileptic patients, while they detected near-threshold targets preceded by supra-threshold exogenous cues. Trajectory k-means clustering reveale...

Can music restore brain connectivity in post-stroke cognitive deficits? 08/01/2022

We'll try and assess these hypotheses with Eleonore Bayen and Maryane Chea

Can music restore brain connectivity in post-stroke cognitive deficits? Brain strokes often induce disabling cognitive deficits. Recent evidence stresses the importance of inter-hemispheric connectivity for recovery from s…
