We shared an evening of multi -cultural and artistic exchange around music, dance and gastronomical middle eastern delicacies prepared by local and international artists as well as students from the Association Pierre Claver.

This beautiful GEM AMBASSADOR family - the Flanigans - are using their precious GEM of being a family that shares. They are adopting a beautiful little orphan girl from China who has epilepsy. The sales of the t-shirt will go to help this little girl and also aid refugee families in France.

Every Child Is A Gem Every child is a gem, regardless of where she was born or what special needs he has. Help us raise adoption funds for a little girl in China who has epilepsy. A portion of proceeds will also go to Every Child Is A Gem, to aid refugee families in France.

"Because if the world listened to the stories — in Greece, Lebanon, Jordan (the kingdom estimates that there are 1.3 million Syrians now living there) and beyond — more people would feel compelled to act. And small acts of kindness would give way to bigger and bolder ones — which would give way to humane policies to help refugees.

But, first, we all must listen. To the sighs and the screams and the stifled sobs. To the exhausted exhalations and the broken voices. To the prayers and the wretched memories. To the whispered pleas: “All we want is a new chance at life.”

Queen Rania: The Syrian refugees I met are experiencing something worse than death ”All we want is a chance at a new life.”

Recently, a small school of approximately 250 children on the outskirts of Paris swapped their normal lunch meal in the school canteen for a bowl of plain pasta. It's something they do each year on Good Friday. The money that is saved by the difference in ingredient costs for a three course lunch vs a bowl of pasta is then donated to a charity. This year, the adorable children at Notre Dame de l'Assomption in Verrières le Buisson decided to use the money to purchase food to go toward assisting with meals and providing food for the camp in Grande Synthe. Here are a couple of photos of the donations that are being driven up tomorrow to Salam, a wonderful association of volunteers who are preparing meals four times a week for 500 people each time and then serving the meal at camp. This is the second car load to go that the children donated - the first one going a few weeks ago. We are so honoured to be able to take this to Salam and applaud the children at Notre Dame de l'Assomption for their kind and generous gesture.
