Atelier LAVIT
Marco LAVIT Marco Lavit founded his architecture and design practice, Atelier LAVIT, in Paris in 2014. Atelier LAVIT derives from the universe of architecture.
Since then, the practice has been active in France and Italy. The key point of its approach for design production is the dialogue with artisans and their Made in Italy savoir-faire.

LILELO / eco-lodges
Set in a landscape of vineyards and wooded areas, in the heart of Monferrato, the eco-hotel Lilelo - Little Leisure Lodge comprises a village of four independent wood and glass cabins whose design was inspired by the image of traditional haystacks. Three of them house the suites, while the fourth is a common space.
The interior of the three suites is organized as a continuum, with the breakfast nook near the deck leading to the sleeping area, which leads to the bathroom at the opposite end. The result is a refuge that ensures privacy, while also offering the option of entertaining other guests.
The last cabin comprises a generous outdoor space and a large kitchen. It was conceived more as a meeting place than a reception area, and includes a large table where guests can sit together.
Designed with an eye on sustainability and energy efficiency using natural and eco-compatible materials, the cabins are raised off the ground, a construction approach that responds to the sloping land of the site.
We took up the challenge of using prefabricated elements but without resorting to standardization. These factors are reflected in the roof, an A-shape with two fully glazed triangular elevations, which also acts as a wall and a load-bearing structure. The lodges weren’t designed as closed volumes from which the openings were subtracted, but as a space created by three inclined surfaces, following the Japanese logic of working on layers.

THE FRAME
For Rossella Colombari, the frame is more than an object—it’s a legacy. As the fourth generation in a family of antique dealers, she continues a tradition that sees the frame as a valuable element, sometimes even more significant than the artwork itself. It’s a key part of how art is presented and experienced.
THE FRAME by Marco Lavit reimagines the traditional frame as a dynamic, standalone design element. No longer just a boundary, it becomes an architectural feature that engages with its surroundings and invites interaction. Inspired by Lavit’s own photographs of nature-embedded architecture, the frame takes on a narrative role in space.
This modular system comes in three formats—landscape, portrait, and square—allowing flexible compositions in both residential and exhibition settings. Whether in a gallery or private home, it defines space and guides visual flow.
In 2025, Atelier LAVIT celebrates its 10th anniversary. For the occasion, the frames showcase a curated selection of the studio’s most iconic architectural works, creating a parallel dialogue between refined architectural compositions and the high craftsmanship details of the frames themselves.
