DETAIL - The white monk 🎨
The subject is a remarkable person, a hermit monk very old indeed, I met on an archaeological dig in Normandy during my studies.
I've had this subject in mind for about 10 years, and I suddenly found the very antique and narrow frame it needed.
In a sense, I painted the picture to match the frame, which is very convenient I must say !
