Angelic wrap finally found its owner in California. It's a bittersweet moment for la demure because this iconic wrap is one of a kind, 100% handmade, with a lot of work, craft and love put into it. Also, it was one of the first designs LA DEMURE created! Time to start working on a new collection!

Making another beauty for a custom order. Here is a glance into the process beginning with handpicking the best quality fabric. We chose an Italian lace for this design. Our client wanted something pretty to cover her arms because she didn't feel good about them.

Interestingly enough, in Korea at some point of time, people wore white on a regular basis. Colors were only allowed for a wedding. It's almost the opposite in the western world today where people wear white for a wedding and colors on a regular basis. I don't know about you, but I think differences between people, regions and times are fascinating!

Couture Bridal and Formal Jackets by LaDemure

Finding a gown with sleeves is difficult! While talking to one of the women about her experience in finding the right gown she mentioned that she wanted to have something over her shoulder to abide by her cultural norms. She went to a boutique but couldn't find a dress with sleeves that made her feel and look beautiful. There were not a lot of choices of the dresses with sleeves, so she ended up buying a strapless gown. Next, she needed to find a jacket. She mentioned that there were not a lot of jackets that went well with her gown. So, she ended up buying fabric separately and hired a seamstress to make her a jacket to match her gown.

This is a struggle brides go through if they want to have their shoulder covered weather it's for warmth, modesty or style.
