Originally from a small town in the heart of the Bulgarian mountains, RILA forged her identity through her quest for meaning, singing from an early age to soothe her spirit. At just 16, spotted for her vocal abilities and singularity, she signed her first contract in Bulgaria, while continuing her higher education, which led her to settle in Paris, France. A number of her singles have been picked up by MCM, D17, Virgin Radio, Clubbing TV and FG radio, and she has made numerous appearances on Bulgarian national TV channels (BTV, BNT etc.). RILA has now embarked on a more personal project, revealing herself through her bewitching pop music with cinematic ambiences, reminiscent of artists such as Adele, Agnes Obel and Lana Del Ray. This new version of herself allows her to fully express her most personal thoughts, drawing inspiration from spirituality, nature and human relationships, embodying her music as a vector of universal emotions.

Last memories from this summer in Sliven, my hometown. 🇧🇬
The rock arch where I’m standing on the first two pics is Halkata, one of the most iconic places in the Karandila mountains. It is surrounded by old Bulgarian legends. They say that if you pass through this opening, you may magically change gender. And according to another legend, if a boy and a girl pass through it hand in hand, they will stay in love for life. ❤️
On the 3rd picture you can see my first school in Sliven. 🇧🇬 I was 7 years old, and my classroom was the first window you can see in the picture.
I have a very precious memory from this classroom that I go back to very often. It was winter, and I remember gazing out of the window while listening to my teacher teaching us a poem about snow, lights and winter.
There was something so cosy and comforting about those words, the images they created in my mind, and the world I was looking at through that window.
Even today, when I think about that moment, I can still feel it. It’s like a flashback to a feeling that makes me feel that everything is alright, that everything is going well, and that somehow, everything is magic.
The 4th picture is the building where my grandmother lived, and where I spent so much of my childhood with my grandparents while my parents were working abroad. My grandmother was the one who took care of me, and this was the place where I spent hours playing chess with my grandfather.
On the last picture is The Main Street at the center of Sliven 🙂 I must have walked up and down this main street countless times as a teenager with my friends, talking about life, asking existential questions, dreaming about the future.
The solar eclipse is truly a magical event—one of the marvels of this world, of this galaxy, this universe… and perhaps of others that may exist somewhere beyond our imagination.

Music is sometimes a beautiful way to stay connected to where we come from, to keep our traditions alive, and to share a little piece of home, wherever we are.
This video was pretty improvised — I made it on my phone, singing a ca****la, and later added some guitar. I was also feeling a little sick, and it’s definitely not my most polished performance :D, a little out of rhythm here and there… but I still wanted to share it because sometimes, it’s not about getting perfect. It’s about the feeling and the moment to share.
