Once her own doctor approved her return to training, the French federation’s doctor—without examining her—not only refused to allow her to return to competition, but also said that she could not return to training and initiated an abuse investigation into her coaches. He tried to publicly say he never did that but Nemour’s mother had the letter in writing and posted it on twitter. ⁣

Facing the prospect of not being able to compete Nemour switched to Algeria but the FFG opposed the country change, meaning she couldn’t compete for a year. That would have prevented her from competing at last year’s World Championship, and most of her best opportunities to qualify for Paris Olympics. ⁣

This was only reversed at the intervention of the French Minister for Sport the literal week before the 2023 African Championships where she qualified for Worlds. ⁣

Now, just like how Algeria overthrew the French colonial presence, Nemour has beaten the country that tried to control her and exploit her resources 🙃 🇩🇿

So the ICC finally issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu, as well as Israel “Defense” Minister Yoav Gallant.⁣

But they also issued an arrest warrant for Hamas Leaders Yahya Sinwar, Ismail Haniyeh and Mohammed Deif.⁣

While people here are busy lecturing us about Democrats versus Republicans and who has more moral authority, this is a sobering reminder that both parties represent a specific brand of white supremacist capitalism that doesn’t put people’s best interests at heart.

The level of gaslighting, centering of self, and feigning victimhood is unfathomable. It’s no wonder META works so hard at censorship and suppression with these type of people at the helm.

Morals and tolerance for genocide aside, shouldn’t we at least be a bit troubled that a foreign entity is largely responsible for shaping our policies?⁣

Does it raise no red flags that the one topic both parties voraciously agree on is the one that lines their pockets?⁣

Let’s say we ultimately don’t care about the lives of people on other nations, innocent or not. Shouldn’t we then have pride about running our own country?
