Last week, the SCOR NY office took part in the Volunteers of America (VOA) campaign Operation Backpack, a community service providing new, top-quality backpacks filled with grade-specific supplies to children living in New York City homeless or domestic violence shelters. Helping to make a difference in these children’s lives one BACKPACK at a time!

On International Friendship Day, let's celebrate friends at work - we couldn't do it without them!

SCOR’s Switzerland office recently held its annual Summer Party on Lake Zurich. More than 150 employees attended our “Tropical Summer Breeze” party, as we celebrated the last year at our current office before moving we move to the new Rosau building next year. We had a great time with our incredible colleagues and already look forward to celebrating the next Summer Party in our new building!

SCOR employees served at the Homeless Resource Center in Charlotte on Friday (June 28) evening. About 150 guests enjoyed rotisserie chicken, green beans, rice and gravy with chocolate chip cookies and brownies for dessert. A number of employees contributed to the dinner’s cost. Congratulations all for your generosity!

May 20th was . Bees have a phenomenal impact on the environment, helping to maintain biodiversity and our ecosystem. It is estimated that one third of the food that we consume each day relies on pollination. At SCOR’s headquarters in Paris, our Bee Club educates our employees about the joys, skills and fruits of beekeeping and supports beekeepers.

Our employees strive to build deep community ties all around the world. In Charlotte, our employees proudly supported the Arts and Science Council to keep the cultural community strong by raising nearly $16,000. Congratulations to all!

Our people around the world take civic engagement to heart. For , our team in India learned to make Newspaper carry bags, as plastic bags are now banned. Our team in Singapore screened the documentaries Cowspiracy and Plastic Ocean to raise awareness on environmental threats.

After having ran through slush and snow last year, this year’s runners at Les Foulées de l'Assurance welcomed the nicer weather! 90 SCOR colleagues participated in the 10k run / 5k walk whose proceeds went towards the research and prevention of cardiovascular disease.

Congratulations to our great SCOR team for having finished 6th out of 94 teams and for having raised €28,150 for the Adicare Association!
