Someone on a post somewhere brought up the subject of doing animation outside of the animation industry and some ignorant person retorted "what the hell kind of animation can you do in medicine?!"

As a former teacher at an art school, I encouraged my students to hone their craft and find their place. The entertainment industry, and animation, especially is in decline right now and if animation is one’s craft, I believe there’s a place for that craft. I’ve done art work in all sorts of industries.

And I’m grateful to have been a part of this documentary about the history of NET, an approach to health and the body that has helped many doctors, over the past near century, to find root causes of issues and to diagnose more accurately.

Sketches from that sketch day with at .

We discussed whether or not the people who made these pieces also thought they looked cute and goofy.

Been looking through old photos & drawings. Remembering from where one has come can be helpful in seeing where one can go.

Did post this when I drew it, last year, on one of our sketch outings with at the Louvre.

The statue garden is quite a lovely space for sketching and being out of the crowds.

Boring character design? Sure, but gotta keep the grid pattern. You know, autistic think meats and all.

I have a list of saved posts on IG called "Makers & doers in France" because encountering & acquainting myself with passionate and dedicated people here feels like biting into a perfectly crisp, sweet apple.

And one of those saved doers is the talented , whose excellent taste and refined eye for detail inspires anyone. Even you, I’d wager.

I’m grateful to have welcomed her during our Galentine’s event in February.

The Glitch. I can identify with this character the most, I think. He’s been around too long to belong to any entity; he’s seen too much and has had it with ideals.

Another portrait from that Galentine’s event I threw at . Did you know that there are Americans living in France who don’t know what Galentine’s Day is? Culture is a fascinating thing.

This is , a brilliant designer whose birthday is this week!

This is where we are so far in a project going on 14 years (is that right?), which brought to me one of my dearest friends. No matter where projects go, love lasts.

Been a fun ride,

Another one from the Galentine’s event I hosted through . When inviting guests to a space, it’s like bringing friends into one’s tiny world for that brief moment. I’ve found it important for that world to be safe, beautiful, exciting, connecting, and uplifting.

This portrait is of the talented and industrious .bard, one of the many inspiring ladies I’ve met in Paris.

Some sketches of possible designs. This project has been many things over the past 14 years & the most important thing it did was introduce me to one of my favorite people .
