End of the trip (and my last post). 🤍 so long NYC and 2025- and hello 2026.

Okay okay. Some of these are my favorite photos from the trip. Mostly because baby girl is so BEAUTIFUL and I could stare at her faces all day. Also, snow and wind are cold.

The pet rock activity/party favor was a hit at Claribel’s party. I painted them ahead of time, and kids “adopted” one to color with acrylic markers and take home in their personalized carrier.

She’s turning three so soon. We are holding onto these moments where she still wants to hold our hand and snuggle all the time.

Day one of a nine-day residency with Stetsons MFA program. This was a HUGE decision for me. I worked for nine months to improve my writing and editing skills for graduate level work, and went through periods of devastating disappointment contrasted with highs of elation from success. I felt queasy the whole month leading up to this, but sitting at my desk and looking out at nature, I feel it in my bones that this was the next right move.

How lucky am I to be able to do bold things? To have a husband who supports me in living a life of purpose and passion? I am gloriously fortunate and need nothing else this December that to relish the people and love in my life.

That Witch is available in stores around the country and on my own site, linked in bio. You can also find this sweet doll of our witch, but don’t show it to Claribel. It’ll be a ten minute battle to explain that it, in fact, is not hers.

In one of my daydreams, I make invitations. I think I like how I get to really go nuts though each time because I don’t do it every day. Claribel’s second birthday invitation 🤍 party is Pooh themed. I digitally illustrated it in Procreate, formatted it in InDesign, and printed on my home printer on antique paper I got on Amazon. I put a red balloon in each ❤️ iykyk
